I have never been treated so poorly in a store before. I was approached by two different workers at different times and scolded while trying to do a quick shopping trip with my kids. I needed to be in and out of the store in thirty minutes. I was quickly found what I needed and looked for the closest dressing room. I saw one right across the lane and headed towards it. As I was walking into a room, a worker came running up from behind me saying loudly "WHAT ARE YOU TAKING IN THERE?" I turned around and showed her the very few items that I had, and she made me go across the way to another dressing room. She said "to make it easier to put things back." SO I wheeled my stroller and made my way all the way back across the two sections I was in. I understand set dressing rooms for certain sections. But the way she approached it was very rude and it seemed like she didn't want me over there for less work for her. The next situation was as I trying to check out. I finally found what we needed and ran over to the check out line. The cash registers were located in a corner where two aisles met. There was no one in line, and about four workers chatting around a cash register, and one person checking out. There was about a two/three foot space in-between the black lane divider and a display. Instead of walking all the way around down the opposite aisle, I stepped through the space. Right as I did, A family came around the corner and entered the line from the correct space. A worker noticed us and said she could help who was next. I nodded to the family trying to say they could go first. But before I could get a word out, the worker started getting after me about "cutting in line." She said things like she needs order and respect in her store and I should make my way to the end of the line. She was very disrespectful towards me. I can see how she thought I was cutting, but the way she belittled me without getting the full story was not ok. I didn't have enough time to try to check out and quite frankly, I didn't want to spend my money at a place where it is ok for employees to talk down to customers. I could have gone to any of the other 4 workers who were standing at the registers talking away, but felt embarrassed, ran out of time, and left. I will not go back. Other Kohl's stores in the area are much better than this one. I love Kohl's but do not...
Read moreI'm giving the 4 stars because on all other occasions, this location has been great. The store is clean, and everyone I've interacted with have all been very friendly and nice.
Except this one last visit, when I went in to do an amazon return. I write this in the hopes that this was an isolated incident and no one else is ever made to feel the way I was.
I was in line to do an amazon return, waiting for the lady in front of me being helped. I could see that the rep (her name was Liz, with short white hair and frames glasses) was very nice and helpful to the customer who was having trouble getting her amazon pick up order. As she was finishing up, a few more people came behind me to the line, and one of the customers walked past the line to the front. She was there to pick up an amazon item too. Apparently her code wasn't working properly, and she voiced it.
As soon as Liz was done with her current customer, she told the gal that was having problems with the pick up order that she could help her. I had been waiting in line, but not a word was spoken to me, and Liz never asked me if it was ok for her to help someone else first even though I had been waiting a while there. In fact, she never did say anything to me throughout the entire time I was there.
The gal picking up her order actually told Liz to help me first, since I was in line, and that she could wait (very polite on her end!). At which point, I expected Liz to say something to me. All she did was wave me over. Then she just waited without saying a word or looking up at me, until I gave her the return item and showed her my code. She did say one thing to me at the end of the transaction: "here's your code for $5 off." That was all.
Then as I was leaving, I saw and heard Liz greet the customer behind me with a smile. So I don't want to be paranoid, but I was the only Asian in the store. And I did look scruffy because I had come from just taking a walk in my leggings and workout top, with my hair pulled back, while the other customers looked pretty and fresh. But I hope it's not Kohl's policy that customers take a shower and dress nice to get polite...
Read moreI walked into this kohl’s looking for a specific item in the jewelry section we were walking around looking for someone to help us and it took about ten minutes to find someone. When we found the lady, she went behind the jewelry counter and we asked her about the specific item that their store said they had in stock online. I showed the women the picture with the description of the product and what it looked like and I asked if she wanted the skew number or number of the product, she of course didn’t answer me. She looked at it didn’t look for a skew number or anything just looked at the picture glanced at her display cases and we started looking too. After one glance from her she just stopped helping us didn’t say anything to us at all and started helping a different costumer. Then, I started to get very frustrated so I openly said out loud “well I suppose we will look by ourselves since she just started helping someone else, seems kinda rude” after I said that, she came back to us for a second and said she couldn’t find it and doesn’t have it. She did not look in any of their drawers or cabinets behind the displays, she didn’t ask any other coworker to take a look, and she didn’t even have the courtesy to tell us right away she just went to the next person. She was horrible, didn’t seem like she wanted to do her job when their website clearly said they had several in stock. We took our business elsewhere. Worst experience at a kohl’s...
