I would be remiss if I did not share something that occurred today during my retail associate training at this store. During my first day training and while touring the store with one of the stores training executives, I noticed an Apple store bag hanging on the end of a clothing fixture. Mind you, I was following behind this employee who simply walked past the bag. The bag, which in no way resembled trash, appeared to be weighed down. I abruptly stopped bringing attention to the bag. Here is my disappointment, this employee, especially in a role as important as hers, tried to dismiss the bag off as trash. That's bad enough, showing no care for the presentation of the store. When she noticed my look of disapproval at her dismissing the bag, she walking over to the bag, looked inside and found a complete set of Apple, earphone's, an Apple phone and perhaps other accessories. The bag was full. Only then, did she remove the bag saying she'd take it to lost and found. She complimented my observation. We were actually on our way to loss prevention for me to be meet the staff. She even told that employee what i noticed. If the merchandise was actually recovered by the purchaser, my actions alone probably saved them thousands of dollars. Can you imagine being trained by an employee, a principal employee and showing them how to be responsible and extremely helpful. I'm African American and she was not, yet for all the wrong treatment we receive it was me, who saved the day. I'm certain no mention, no thanks from the owner of the items will come my way. How can she face me when I return. It is my expectation that these reviews are read and if I suffer any retaliation or suddenly lose my job, I'll know it was because of this review. Read moreThis review is specifically for the signage in the women's coat area. I was trying to get my wife a coat she's been eyeing for some time now. I saw the sign that read 65% off, this would've been great for our budget that we have set. But when scanned at the register, it was only 50%. The young lady didn't honor the sign even after I went to take a picture of the sign. She said she couldn't do anything about it. So Macy's, what's the point of putting up the signs if you're not going to honor it. Or is Macy's just ignoring the Federal Trade Commission good price practice by signing one offer at the rack but overcharging at the register.
UPDATE: After posting this on my Facebook page and on Macy's page. James at Macy's asked if I spoke with the manager.
My reply: I did not speak with the manager. First, I waited to pay by the shoe department. They sent me to another register where there was no one there. Waited a few minutes. Then, another associate said I could pay at customer service. After I showed the young lady the picture, she just turned the screen my way, showed me the price that was ringing up and said that the signage just gets left up and they're not always correct. If the manager is OK with all of this, it seems like there was no point to speaking with the manager.

Read moreI have been buying in the store of clinic of macys for more than 5 years every month I buy something there, my mother and I like their products, in all these years I have never had any problems until today, the opposite one of the Ladies is very kind to me and always serves me quickly and professionally. Today I went to buy my product and one of the ladies who has already attended me before is there a young Ukraine girl there were no more employees than just her. I understand that for one person is complicated and you can take your time with each client, but I was waiting for her to finish with her clients to be able to attend me, in the waiting another lady arrives who wanted to buy something but the employee was still with the client before me, but what bothers me most is that they are talking and she knowing that there were people waiting for her, she looked at me and continued talking to the client without saying anything to me or the lady who was waiting after me, the lady who was waiting after me left without being able to buy anything. The truth is that I was very upset because I wasn't just in a hurry , but I was annoyed that she continued talking with the client of different things that was not of clinical products and I did not see the interest of her to finalize or charge the client to continue with...
