UPDATE: They reached out to me to try to make up for the experience and sent me coupons for free Charburgers.
Disappointing visit in on so many levels. Went there to get a meal for a friend recovering from surgery. Place was packed and the way the line was set up was not conducive to social distancing. š· The line to order should have wrapped around to the right so when people get their orders and drinks they have a clear pathway to exit. The way they have the orders separate from the drinks is a bit frenzied because while you are trying to pick up your drink you have people pushing past you to get to the restroom. Bad logistics. First thing that happened is when a person finished placing their order I naturally stepped up to place mine but the person didn't say a word to me and looked at me like, "why are you standing there?". Turns out he had closed his register (even though the line was to the door) and didn't even acknowledge me by saying he was closed and the other register was just taking people who were behind me in line and helping them! I had to flag someone down to explain what appeared to have happened and then the lone cashier helped me but if I hadn't spoken up, how long would they have let me atand there not being acknowledged. š Sorry but INO would never do that. It was chaotic in there. Way too many bodies and no one regulating the capacity of people. After I made my escape, I was walking to the car the flimsy drink holder busted and my drinks splattered all over the ground (2 shakes and a lemonade). 𤬠I went back in with the almost empty cups and turn holder and they went ahead and replaced them however, once again putting then in the flimsy drink holder which almost gave way at the counter this time. Logic should tell someone that it's obvious that the shakes are too heavy for the drink holder. I had to request a bag to make sure I wouldn't have the same situation happen. I get to my friend's house and we sit to eat and I discovered that my burger was wrong!! š The receipt has it right but they made it wrong and the green beans seemed overdone. Wow, it just keeps getting better. So I get my receipt to call the location. No phone #. What??! I went online and got the number and called the store. No answer and it basically hangs up on you if you don't select one of the prompts. After all that frustration I decide to try again the next day because my patience is a spent! I see the website to do the survey on my receipt but instead of a survey code it says "errors occurred" so there's another "roadblock". Finally I go back online and find this place, right here, to voice my total...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis ONLY applies to Habit GLENDALE on Glendale Blvd. Having eaten at The Habit for years at locations near my home in the eastern San Gabriel Valley I can say this habit is not up to the standard of ācharā burgers, which Habit is known for. I ordered a char with cheese and side salad. The burger tasted 100% flat top grilled and in fact, you can actually hear that type grilling from inside the restaurant. Needless to say I was surprised and let down that I did not get what I expected not paid for. Even the bottom bun was cold and both buns are to be grilled. I guess the hamburgers were taking up too much room to grill both sides on the flat top :(
I watched from the side dining area to see how the cooks did their thing with the burgers. One guy would put the burger on the grill for a brief time, then placed the patty on the flat grill next to him so the guy would finish cooking the burger there. My order was in the lunch rush. My order was done in record time compared to the dozens of times I have patronized The Habit. Charring using fire takes a bit more time to complete the cooking process. So, after a couple bites I searched my burger for grill marks and there were none.
The two stars are for the very good side salad, but the burger taste, texture and cold bottom bun was a huge disappointment.
I thought franchiseeās had to true...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is more on the conduct of the cashier who I had to deal with to get my order, which i placed online. Cashier working on this day, 6/30/22, needs to be retrained to actually perform good customer service skills. My order pickup was 10:40 am. Arrived pretty much on the dot at the establishment. Was told by cashier they're still prepping my order. I notice now pickup customers come in, along with some dine-in folks. I asked after 15 minutes of waiting what's been going on with my order, since the dine-in customers are getting their food before mine, since it's not like it's a big order (just a meal combo). Turns out it's just been sitting in the corner for several minutes, and now my fries are cold. Cashier doesn't even bother to give me my drink cup. He just plops my order bag in front of me, no apologies or anything. So I decide to grab a drink cup myself. Then, he has the nerve to tell me I can't do that. Well buddy, if you actually started paying attention to what you're supposed to be doing, I wouldn't have had to. I wasnt the only one who had a problem with him as I observed him, he was pretty antagonistic to other patrons as well. One guy asked him, "what is your problem?" He was also ignoring the questions of another also asking about his order. I'm never coming back to this particular...
