We live in Park City, Utah, and last January we bought a condo in Key Largo that needed a new kitchen. After a lot of research we followed the advice of an architect friend who works in Miami , and contacted Stone International Kitchens and Cabinets. We only had about twelve days to chose and install a kitchen, or it would have meant to wait four more months when we would have returned to Key Largo again. After a visit to Stone International, our salesman. Richard (Rick) Smith, proposed we should just go ahead, since they had both cabinets and granite in stock, and he was confident they would have been able to install the whole thing before we were to leave about 12 days later. To be honest, we were a little skeptic that could be possible , but we decided to try. Amazingly, everything worked like clock-work, from demolition, to installation of the cabinets, to the fabrication and installation of granite. In fact, as it often happens, the scope of the work increased a bit once they started, by also installing a new vanity in one bathroom and granite counter-tops in both bathrooms. The whole thing was coordinated with electricians and plumbers, not an easy feat. We left the same day they finished the work, happy that everything worked so well, and very pleased for the results of all that effort. The most amazing thing just happened a few days ago when we went back to our condo for a couple of weeks. This was really the first time we could really assess and enjoy our new kitchen, and our first impression of four months earlier was soundly confirmed. We really have a very beautiful kitchen....except an unsightly green stain was present on the kitchen side of the island granite. Since we had left the same day of the installation four months earlier we had not noticed that stain, and we were quite upset thinking that stain must have been in the stone when it was installed. It seemed that the stain was under the finish, not above it. We talked to Rick about it, and, to make a long story short, he decided that the best solution was to change the entire island granite, even if it was four months after the installation. This is costumer service that not only meets, but far exceeds any expectations, particularly because, after some research, it appears that the stain may have been actually caused by one of the plumbers by putting a container of green glue on top of the island. By changing the granite without expecting any payment from us, this company has given us new hope that competence, honesty and strong belief in customer support can still be found out there. We recommend this company for quality cabinets and granite installations in the strongest possible terms. They are real professionals, and, in addition, their prices are very fair. We are very...
Read moreAfter being highly recommended by a family member, I made an appointment with Stone International for a kitchen consultation on March 8th. My designer, Sara, from the beginning was helpful, professional, but most importantly had the amazing ability to take the design I had in my head and transfer it onto paper which is how my dream kitchen became a reality. During our first meeting, I explained the need for storage, large countertops for entertaining, and most importantly, a large pantry. A few moments later, after providing her with basic measurements of the existing kitchen she brought my design to life incorporating everything I asked for. On May 3rd, we were ready to begin the kitchen remodel and Sara came out that afternoon and took the final measurements. By May 25th, the cabinets were installed and on June 3rd, the kitchen was finished and the granite was placed. The new pantry is over 8 feet tall, the top cabinets flow all the way to the ceiling, the island is over 100 inches long and has storage on both sides. The back of the island has 7 pull out drawers and also has hidden garbage and recycle bins. The front of the island contains 6 additional storage cabinets however with the 12 inch overhang of the granite, the storage cabinets are hidden and this also provides me with additional space to place stools for sitting and/or entertaining. One of Sara's designs that I absolutely love is the placement of the microwave. It is now under the cabinets freeing up much more space on the countertops and removing it from view. However, the best focal point would be the "wallsplash" that is placed behind the stove. Sara recommended the Calcutta Leon granite to tie in with the new flooring for the countertops, backsplash, island and wallsplash and it looks amazing. We were so pleased with Sara and Stone International, that we also decided to have them design and install a wet bar that extends into our dining room. I would truly recommend Stone International as our experience with Sara and the installers was above and beyond what were were hoping for and since they assemble their cabinets here locally in Miami, we also avoided lengthly delays that many are experiencing post-covid. I am also looking forward to working with them in the future to redesign our closets as well as a...
Read moreOur experience with Stone International was excellent from start to finish. When we called, we were directed to Erika Salazar, who proved to be the most valuable asset throughout the entire process. When we came in, Erika took the time to get to know us and to really dig in to find out what we wanted in our kitchen renovation. Over the course of the next couple of weeks, she met with us several times, and helped guide us to making the best possible choices for our needs. This led to several designs and redesigns, but Erika approached each one with patience, good humor, and a commitment to ensuring that we would be thrilled with the result. Since they create everything, including the countertops, we were able to get exactly what we wanted. Once the design was done, everything happened over the course of about 2 1/2 weeks, unlike what we had heard from other companies that we had received estimates from. Even the start dates from these other companies were far into the future, where ours with Stone International were a couple of weeks after we had finalized everything. Once the installation process started things really went quickly. Demolition, prep and finish work by Henry (another amazing part of this process!), as well as cabinet and countertop installation, all went like clockwork. We’ve had so much work that just seems to drag on forever. This was not the case with Stone International. Everything they said would happen took place exactly as they said it would. This is in large part due to Erika, who kept tabs on the entire operation from design through completion, as well as coordinating everything with the installers and especially Henry, who is a perfectionist in all the best ways. Credit is also due to the president of the company, Qing 'CiCi’ Chan, who wants all of her customers to be taken care of with respect and attention to their specific needs. So, if you are planning on a kitchen renovation, don’t look any further than Stone International, and the incredible...
