I had the worst shopping experience i have ever had today at Kohl’s in Grafton, WI. I had to wait in the checkout line 4 different times before my purchase could be successfully checked out because the rude cashier didn’t know what she was doing. I could not get clear answers regarding the transaction. The card reader couldn’t apply my loyalty points so she said I would have to put in my telephone number. When that didn’t accomplish anything the cashier said she would have to apply them by putting in my email address. All this time there was a long line of people waiting to check out while the cashier argued with me throughout the whole transaction. I’m a senior and I have just gotten over Covid and still feeling somewhat weak, I mentioned to her that I didn’t feel well and she couldn’t have cared less. She never offered a chair or a glass of water. I have worked in retail for many years and I know that’s not the way customers should be treated. Also there were 4 different styles of tops on one display table with all different prices when the signage said one price for all. All of the various styles of tops were all piled together with all different prices. It was a horrible mess and the display was poorly put together. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with it to the manager at the front of the store, she acted like she didn’t know and didn’t care. I have spent a lot of money over the years at Kohl’s. It was always my go to store. But now after all this I don’t care if I ever go back to that store. That store has the worst customer service and the worst cashiers I...
Read moreI love Kohls but I did not love my experience there today. After nearly an hour of shoppiing and finally pinning down what I wanted I went to the registers. I knew my kohls cash wouldn't cover my purchases and I'd be paying cash which I can't do in self check out. So I got in the normal line. No one was behind me only 1 checkout open and they were busy with someone and no one in self check out. No biggie. 5 seconds later an old white haired lady asked me if I was using Kohl's charge so she could usher me to self check out. I said I was using cash. She then asked me if I was using a debit card and I said no I was using cash. She then replied "Well, I don't know what to tell you, you can go to Sephora".
I was very confused. I realize now that I should have just stayed there. But I was so confused as to why she said she didn't know what to tell me and why she was telling me to go to Sephora. I wasn't impatient or even waiting long. I wasn't annoyed. I was just waiting my turn. I started for Sephora but was so confused that instead I ditched my items and walked out. All the while she watched me as she stood behind a register never once stopping me.
I now I'll have to return at a later date and start all over and hope she's not there to usher me...
Read moreThe front end manager at the Kohls in Grafton on Sunday, May 25th was FORCING customers to check out using the self checkouts, even though she and 3 other associates were at the employee manned registers. It was the most insane thing I have ever experienced at a store. I have never been forced to use the self checkouts anywhere I shop before. And what’s worse, is that the manager was making one of her employees, an older white haired lady, tell the customers if they were using credit to pay that they HAD to use the self checkouts, and then she just stood over there and watched over the customers as they checked out. The manager wasn’t even the one dictating this to the customers. When I said, no, I wanted a human being to check my items out, the associate told me “go talk to her” pointing at her manager, “she might check you out.” Then she went to her manager and told her I didn’t want to use the self checkouts and the manager asked why and the associate told her she didn’t know. I heard their entire conversation about me as I was standing right there, but the store manager never even looked up at me or said a word to me. Finally another associate at a register said she could check me out. Unbelievable!! I will NEVER go to the Kohl’s in...
