Barefoot Dave's at the Beach — Local services in Grand Haven

My son and I traveled to visit Michigan from KS in June to see my best friend. During our trip, we visited Grand Haven, and while there, we stumbled into Barefoot Daves. My first impression of the shop was a very relaxed and welcoming feel. Everything was very organized and the vibe was similar to a place you could hang out all day at. At first glance, I realized how high quality the merchandise was. The clothing was not cheaply made and the shirts were soooo soft. It was along the same quality as a specialty boutique where you would find an 80$ tee shirt...however the prices at Daves were AMAZING. As my son and I were browsing the store, a kind man assisted us in picking out a gift for my husband. He showed us his newest styles of shirts and boy were they soft and great quality. He chatted with us for a while and it was soon later we realized it was BAREFOOT DAVE himself. Working at his own store! You just dont see this type of thing very often and I was honored to have met the creator of the store. He gave us the background story and told us that the vibe he wanted to create for the shop was a "no worries" vibe, thus the name barefoot daves. My biggest regret of our trip was not getting all of our merchandise at Daves. You see, we were nearing the end of our time in Grand Haven and had already bought souvenirs at several other places including the cheap t-shirt souvenir shops in Grand Haven. I really wish we would have found Daves sooner. My husband said his Daves shirt is his new favorite tee. He wears it all the time. Im going to see if I can order some merchandise online because Daves would be my go-to shop for gifts. My son put the stickers he got on his laptop and we tell the story about Daves whenever we talk about our trip to Michigan. It was such a great memory that stood out among the rest of our trip. So my fiance and I shot over to Michigan from the Chicago area for work. We ended up making a trip of it to see some friends, have dinner, and do a little window shopping in Grand Haven. We were not able to hit the downtown area on Saturday as we had hoped, so we decided to head down there Sunday morning after checkout at our Inn. Unfortunately, not much was open in the dead of winter, but Dave was! This place is our kind of place! Walked in, and GREAT tunes were playing. First bonus. The layout was welcoming, and we were immediately greeted by Barefood Dave himself and his 2 AWESOME golden retrievers. Bonus number two. Dave had a fantastic selection of shits, sweatshirts, and other miscellaneous items at FANTASTIC prices. We walked out with 3 T's and a really nice hooded heavy pullover sweatshirt for an insane deal. Dave is the kind of guy anyone would want to hang out with. You immediately feel like you've known him all your life. Super great salt of the earth kinda guy. We left there with Dave and his dogs making our trip downtown GH completely worthwhile even though most of the shops were closed. Please do yourself a favor and stop in and see Barefoot Dave. This is a great hidden gem if you want to snag a nice t-shirt or sweatshirt from the area. We will definitely be back here to visit Dave this summer on the bike since we'd like to check out the rest of the shops. It is not surprising whatsoever to see Barefoot Dave receive all five-star reviews on Google....

Back through the looking glass with Bare Foot Dave. What this world needs now are more positive Vibes. And I believe that’s what Dave is all about. I could have spent the day there talking to Dave. I enjoyed very much getting lost in his world.
