Good afternoon,
I would first like to say that I'm an avid Polo wearer and have been since I was a kid. My entire closet is full of Polo attire. With the cold months looming, I figured I would purchase clothing from the outlet store in Grand Prairie to be prepared for the Fall and Winter seasons. I drove an hour to get to the store and found some great gear per usual. But to my dismay the cashier left the markers on my clothing. I will admit that the buzzer went off when I left the store but it also went off when I walked in along with several other people so I didn't think anything of it. My problem is, I called and the individual that answered the phone made it seem like it was no big deal for me to drive back to the store. Today was literally my only off day and I would've preferred to relax and enjoy myself versus spending two hours of my day on the road smh. Upon leaving after driving to the store I called and asked to speak with a manager and the individual that picked up told me he was a manager. I told Chris what happened and he instantly stated the next time you come I can give you 20% off of your next purchase. My issue was never receiving a discount, I only wanted someone to address removing markers off of the clothing when it's purchased moving forward or even receiving an apology for the wasted time and gas that I spent without warrant. This experience doesn't change my love for Polo as a brand but I do have a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to the customer service I received and the employees that Polo as a...
Read moreOn September 1st, around 2:00 p.m., my son was a victim of discrimination by the staff at the store entrance. My son is 4 years old (almost 5) and has level 2 autism. When we entered the store with my mom and my other children, he was making a sound he usually makes — not very loud, but part of his way of expressing himself.
The person at the entrance, in an aggressive way and shouting, told us that children were not allowed, even though there were clearly other children inside the store and no sign indicating that children were prohibited. The yelling scared my son, who started crying and throwing himself on the floor because situations like this cause him a lot of anxiety. Instead of showing any understanding, the staff member told him “shhh” in a rude and harsh tone.
We felt attacked and discriminated against. My mom decided to leave with my children while I quickly went in to get a friend who was holding my baby (who was allowed inside, just like the other neurotypical children). I took my baby and we left.
I had never experienced this kind of discrimination before. If children are truly not allowed in the store, it could have been communicated in a polite and respectful way, without yelling or being aggressive. I also recommend that the store train its employees to be more inclusive and informed about disabilities and neurodivergent...
Read moreI am an absolute fan of Ralph Lauren. I was actually really excited to see that they had for the store in at the Grand Prairie Outlet Mall located where the old food court was. It is actually really pretty inside but the downfall is the prices are still a bit high and when you compare it to other competitive stores out there that also sell Ralph Lauren you get better deals going into those bigger stores especially when you catch the deals like on New Year's Day and you get an extra 65% off already marked low prices. Glad the store is there but it's hard to beat prices if you shop around. I would recommend having a better sell at an outlet mall when you have so many competitors out there selling...
