MY 17 YEAR OLD BROTHER WENT INTO THIS HOTEL WITH OUT PERMISSION AND A FRONT DESK AGENT BY THE NAME OF ANITA ALLOWED HIM TO CHECK IN (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW BECAUSE HE IS A MINOR). HE PAID $178.65 IN CASH FOR A 2 NIGHT STAY. ONCE I FOUND OUT WHERE HE WAS I CALLED THE FRONT DESK WITH HIM ON 3 WAY TO GET A REFUND FOR THE SECOND NOT BECAUSE HE HAD BEEN THERE A FEW HOURS SO I WASNT WORRIED ABOUT THE FIRST NIGHT. THE AGENT THAT I SPOKE TO WAS CYNTHIA AND SHE WAS VERY AND I MEAN VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND NOT WILL TO ASSIST NOR DID SHE GIVE A DAMN ABOUT MY SITUATION. I ASKED FOR A MANAGERS PHONE NUMBER AND SHE LIED AND SAID SHE DIDNT HAVE ONE I ASKED FOR CORPORATE NUMBER AND SHE SAID THAT THEY DIDNT HAVE A CORPORATE (WHICH WAS A LIE). SO I SHOWED UP TO GET MY BROTHER AND WHEN I WALKED IN CYNTHIA (THE DISRESPECTFUL ONE) WAS SITTING DOWN BEHIND FROM DESK WITH HER SON IN HER LAP WHO LOOKED TO BE ABOUT 4 YEARS OLD (WHICH IS A LIABILITY TO THE COMPANY). I TOLD HER THAT I WAS THE ONE THAT SHE WAS BEING RUDE TOO OTHER THE PHONE. I ASKED HER AGAIN FOR PHONE NUMBERS TO EITHER A MANAGER OR CORPORATE OFFICE. SHE HANDED ME A CARD AND SAID THIS MANAGER CAN BE REACHED AT ANYTIME. I CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE CARD AND A PHONE 2 FEET STARTED TO RING. SHE SMILED AS IF IT WAS FUNNY TO HER. I THEN GOT UPSET AND HER AND BEGAN A SHOUTING MATCH IN THE LOBBY OF THE HOTEL WHERE OTHER PEOPLE LOOKED ON. CYNTHIA THEN SAT IN THE CHAIR BEHIND THE FRONT DESK WHERE HER SON HAD BEEN RUNNING IN AND OUT OF THE MANAGERS OFFICES PLAYING AND SWONG HER HAID AS IN TO GESTURE THAT SHE WAS UNBOTHER. I THEN LET HER THAT I WOULD DO MY DAMNEST TO MAKE SURE THAT SHE WAS TERMINATED, NOT ONLY BECAUSE SHE WAS UNWILLING TO HELP BUT ALSO BECAUSE SHE WAS DISRESPECTFUL AND BECAUSE WHEN I TOLD HER THAT IS WAS AN EMERGANCY SITUALTION FOR ME SHE SHOUTED AND TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NOT AN EMERGANCY SITUATION FOR HER.
THE NEXT MORNING I CALLED AND SPOKE TO GM AND I TOLD HIM WHAT HAD HAPPEN. HE OFFERED TO REFUND ME THE MONEY FOR BOTH NIGHTS, AND ALTHOUGHT THAT WAS A NICE GESTURE MY MAIN CONCERN WAS THE FACT THAT THEY HAD A DISRESPECTFUL AGENT AT THE FRONT DESK. I ALSO TOLD THE GM THAT I WOULD BE AND STILL AM CONSULTING WITH MY LEGAL TEAM PER IF IS AGAINST THE LAW FOR A MINOR TO BE SOLD A HOTEL ROOM. HE SAID THAT HE WOULD WRITE HER UP AND I TOLD HIM THAT WASNT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. I ASKED HIM FOR A NUMBER OF SOMEONE HIGHER UP IN COMMAND THEN HIM AND HE SAID THAT THERE WAS NOT ANYONE THAT WAS ABOVE HIM. I TOLD HIM THAT I FELT AS IF HE WAS LYING AND I WOULD DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO FIND OUT THE TRUTH.
CYNTHIA SHOULD BE TERMINATED. AND IM GOING TO MAKE SURE...
Read moreWe were in the area for a medical procedure and stayed for 6 days. Absolutely no complaints except for a squeaky bathroom door, but a shot of WD40 fixed that. Room was comfortable as was the bed. The ac/heat unit worked nicely. Fridge and microwave were put to great use as for the first couple of days they were used to refreeze ice packs and heat up the hot packs. |Unfortunately there was road construction blocking one of the entrances and the other was near a rather busy intersection but it was never a problem to access the hotel or to leave. Several fast food restaurants are within walking distance as well as a couple of convenience stores. Nearby are a Kroger’s grocery store and the ever present Walmart. Lots of other restaurants are close by. Out first night we went to Mr Crabs just down the road. Excellent, by the way. They are not on TA but I have requested TA to add them. |Just down the road is the outlet mall and the Arlington mall a little further. The Rangers baseball field and cowboy stadium are also not to far away. Downtown Dallas is less than 30 min away. |I read poor reviews of this hotel. One stating there was a dark forest next to the parking lot. Not true. It was more like a strip of trees between residential areas and the commercial section. Also someone complained about a sign in the parking lot warning the hotel was not responsible for cars parked there. I have never been to hotel that did NOT have that sign. |Now back to the hotel itself. Staff was great. Now I only dealt with the morning crew, but the three guys I dealt with were friendly and helpful. Should have gotten their names. We arrived there Sept 27 and left Oct 3, so, management knows who they were. Great guys. |They do have an outside pool ranging from 3 to 5 feet deep. Didn’t get to use it but sure wanted to. Looked well kept. |Breakfast was continental but did have waffles (shaped like Texas) scrambled eggs and sausage links. Good for a quick start to the day. They have a washer and dryer for laundry and outside, near the pool, a gazebo. I sat there for a bit every morning with my coffee. Nice. |Can’t think of what else to say. Our stay was great. Hated to leave. But we need to go back for another medical procedure in the spring so guess where we will...
