Caribbean Vibz — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

The Grand Prairie Outlet Mall has a hidden gem for food lovers—Caribbean Vibz! While tackling some holiday shopping during this busy season, we craved something beyond the usual fast food options, and this spot delivered. The oxtails were incredibly tender, falling off the bone and served atop perfectly seasoned rice. The dish also came with flavorful stewed beans—so good we wouldn’t have minded an extra spoonful! While plantains weren’t included with the plate (as they often sometimes are at similar restaurants), they were well worth the price. Cooked to perfection, they had that ideal balance of crispiness on the outside and softness inside. Awesome food truck. Had the oxtails, beef patty and the passionfruit juice. All excellent. Oxtails had a different flavor than i was expecting but were lovely & unique. Same with the beef patty, never had the pastry they used but it was so good, and slightly sweet. Very tasty filling too. The rice was great too.

Oh. And the young man working the window - top notch hospitality. Seriously, yall got a gem right there. If he somehow sees this, keep crushing it big man! Being nice and helpful to guests is what this business...

Had the oxtails and beef patty. Just to be clear it's not a traditional jamaican beef patty but an Empanada. I did love the breading of the Empanada. It reminded me of a jamaican bread called festival. Just like the beef patty the oxtail had a unique taste to it. It did come off a bit salty.
