I visited Pure Imagination Chocolatier recently during the Sixth Annual Grandview Chocolate Walk [5-30-2019].
More than thirty participating businesses in Grandview Heights had been open that evening between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; visitors to those businesses had been given, for free, some version of chocolate.
While most of the participating businesses had distributed individually-wrapped candy bars or similar items that visitors could collect in specially-labeled paper bags [and then carry around with them for the remainder of the event], Pure Imagination Chocolatier had facilitated an unexpected treat that definitely would not have been appropriate to place into the paper bags.
Pure Imagination Chocolatier had set up a machine where heated melted chocolate had been falling rapidly from an upper reservoir to a lower reservoir [and I assume would be quickly returned to the upper reservoir].
Visitors to that business had been invited to create their own treats by placing marshmallows, "Rice Krispies" treats, strawberries, and other similar items onto a wooden skewer and then to cover the contents of their skewers with chocolate by holding them briefly under the stream of rapidly-falling melted chocolate.
I am very glad that I had stopped at Pure Imagination Chocolatier during the Sixth Annual Grandview...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere to even begin? I have no cons to speak of, so I'll list the pros. Pro #1: this is some of the smoothest, creamiest, most heavenly chocolate ever. 10/10 quality of the products.
Pro #2: Daniel, the owner, could not have been more welcoming or kind.
Pro #3: They treat customers like family on your first visit.
Example: I walked in on a Saturday evening, really hoping to get some chocolate covered strawberries, but knowing the odds were slim. Daniel did not have any strawberries on hand. He graciously told me if I went and bought strawberries he would dip them for me. That is above and beyond! I bought strawberries, he dipped more than requested, gave me multiple samples while I hung out, and he didn't even want to accept any payment from me in the end! Mindblowingly positive experience- recommending this place to everyone I know. I finally convinced him to take some cash on the premise that he would donate to the American Cancer Society.
In a world full of people doing whatever they can to make an extra dollar, Daniel is the kind of person doing whatever he can to spread joy and his love of chocolate. 10000000/10 this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese are the best truffels I have ever had the world over. I really can't say enough good things about this place. The staff were patient, gracious, educational, engaged, and helpful. These folks have a passion and talent for their work and it shows. The selection is wide, creative, beautiful, made from top quality ingredients and so delicious. This was the 4th chocolatier I visited today. I was already feeling a bit over filled with chocolate for the day but then we tried these and I was so impressed with the first thing I tried I had a second which was even better. My only regret is that we didn't eat them in the store so we could tell the owner how much we loved it. It was a genuine pleasure to go there. Finally I'd like to say I went out of my way to make sure I reviewed them. I wasn't solicitted by Google. I just had to tell the world how well we were treated and how delicious I found...
