Beware of Dr. Matthew's! Do not let him treat you or your children. My daughter has mollescum, (water warts). I went in for treatment because it can last up to a year before it goes away on its own and Dr. Matthew's comes in and suggests 2 treatment methods for a non-life threatening condition. 1) he uses liquid nitrogen and freezes them off and leaves scarring, or, 2) he puts my little 3 year old daughter to sleep under anesthesia (which can have life threatening risks) and he would scrape these bumps off with a sharp tool leaving scarring as well. He suggests only these two most expensive options that would scar her so he can get more money in his pocket from our medicaid. What he didn't know is I already knew there was a cream that is specifically made to treat mollescum that's over the counter and when I mentioned it (cantharidin) he was shocked looking and told me "oh yeah we can do that cream that's probably the safest and most effective way and won't leave any scarring." So recap, he suggests putting a little 3 year old down under anesthesia before mentioning an effective cream that's safe. Oh and also he said he'd get it ordered the next day and let me know, I just got off the phone with them a week later and he hasn't done a dang thing to get that cream ordered.
