Went to the dentist today to get my teeth cleaned in Grants Pass at noon. (MY 3rd appt) And they made me fill out an affidavit saying I'd be kinder and not bligerant to the staff.š¤... Because the first time I went to them" I stuck up for their receptionist being bullied by her boss in June 2024.. I asked the manager on shift to please be kinder in front of clients, with her employees... I said the girl tried to ask you a question ' that i had asked her, she told me she didn't know and wanted me to have the correct information.. So she turned to you to ask! " The manager told me to mind my own business!" Was shocked to say the least.. Ever since she go's out of her way to bully me in some small way.
This Monday they didn't have the lady in the waiting room, nor the next appointment sign that same piece of paper today. The manager had her single me out.. As I was leaving i asked another lady waiting for her appointment in the waiting room if she had to fill the same form out and she said no, she didn't know what i was talking about.. Then i found out in the car on the way home, the person (ride share) that i was with new about the situation as she was standing behind me in line; didn't have to fill out the paper either. The more I think about it the more upset i get about the situation... If you saw a manager bulling an employee wouldn't you speak up? It was the right thing to do.. Wasn't rude, I just asked the manager to be kinder. The girl told me she was brand new, when I first walked up to the counter... And because she made a very small mistake the manager jumped her verbally in front of me. The manager was so bad, i thought she was going to slap the new receptionist.. And the receptionist was trying to be so polite and do everything correctly... When I went into the back room I asked for a complaint form and indeed filled it out. And gave it to the nurse that was helping me... All the staff was amazing. And I felt so bad for the receptionist up front.. Then my next (2nd) appointment, I asked about the new girl that had tried to help me and the new receptionist said she was fired.. That she had taken her spot.. And the manager gave me a dirty look and pulled that receptionist aside.. then today six months later that new receptionist was gone.. Why don't people speak up when they know what they see is wrong... And why still bully me š By making me fill out a form on bulling... I'd never bully anyone.. Can't sleep thinking about it.. Totally upset about the whole incident... Been there three times and feel like I was bullied three times by the same person.. Being singled out for doing the right thing is WRONG ~ Don't care who you are. And for the record I've been very kind each appointment, I'd never bullied them or spoken unkind words.. Not even to that manager ~ I just told her to please be kinder to her employees on that first day, and filled a complaint form becausei felt bad for the receptionist.. Because what i saw from her was horrible.. Because I felt bad for an employee that was too scared to speak up for herself... ā¹ļø Bulling is wrong...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to recommend this office, unfortunately that changed today. I went in for a routine cleaning and was advised that they do not take my new insurance. This was not a big deal, and it was my fault for not checking in ahead of time. However, about 5 months ago they did a root canal and crown on one of my teeth, and it has been painful ever since. When I called the office a month or so after my procedure, they advised me that it can take time to adapt/adjust, and to give it a few months to see if it resolved. I asked if I could have it checked when I came in for my next cleaning, because I was concerned that all of the root was not removed (per the dentists statement at the time of the procedure), and they said yes. However, When I was in the office today I asked if they could check out that crown, and after getting a little bit of a run around from what must have been a brand new staff member, I was informed that it had been too long since the work was done and they would have to charge me a sizable fee. A sizable fee, to check their own work, after 5 months; and it would probably have taken all of 90 seconds to check. This is unacceptable, a dentist should stand behind their work and their office staffās previous statement that I could have it checked out on my cleaning date. I wonāt recommend or return to an office that wouldnāt recheck their work when their patient has experienced continual pain since...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHopefully this saves someone else the pain and trouble i went through. I went to open door to get a crown put in. I wasn't numb enough during the procedure and felt the drilling. I told the dentist, who didn't numb the tooth further and just kept drilling. The dentist was worried he drilled too close to my nerve... I went back 3 times after the main visit to get the permanent crown put on. The crown didn't fit 3 times in a row, they stated it was the Labs fault. The second time they tried fitting the crown the guy next to me had the same problem. Seems poor fitting crowns are an occurrence here. My tooth became seriously infected during the time the temporary crowns were taken on and off. The dentists and hygienists didn't realize this. I had to go to the doctor to get antibiotics to treat the massive fever, pain and swelling the infected tooth caused, whilw.in opendoors care. ... I felt the hygenists were very unprofessional, carelessly knocking my teeth with their knuckles, bumping the inside of my mouth with instruments, acting like they were in high-school, etc. My overall impression is this location is too busy to provide quality work and has a lack of competent staff. 3 months later my tooth still has a mild infection, is painful to chew on and likely will need more work to have the actual issue resolved. This was a nightmare to deal with, save yourself the trouble and...
