If you are looking for furniture, they have a great selection of used in great condition and some new items. Seems they are better for household than building supplies though. As someone interested in building supplies, this store is a big disappointment compared to stores I had in Arizona. They have building supplies and some in abundance. For instance they have a very good selection of doors. Just overall, not a wide enough selection of nice items. For instance why don't they have hinges, knobs, and drawer pulls? In other stores, they have TONS of them. None, nada here. Also, they do not resell paint. You can only buy a brand they carry. They seem to think that paint is not a good item to recycle, but I know the ReStore in Tucson for instance, does a HUGE amount of paint business on a daily basis. Who wouldn't want to buy a 3/4 to full gallon of paint for $10? So I am not sure why they don't take paint. These are just a few examples of things I wish they would take or sell. But they do have a nice selection of household goods and furniture. They are also smart because they set up a seasonal area where they display fully loaded x-mas trees you can buy with all the decorations included! This is cool because who wants to buy a tree that you see on the floor in a box? By setting them up, the customer gets to "see" the tree so they are considerably more inclined to buy one, and the store can get a LOT more for a tree that is displayed. So the store is a good one, but to me it's not a great building supply store...
Read moreMy review has been a long time coming, and I am so happy at the opportunity to leave one. I have shopped this store at is newest location at the Greeley Mal; as well as the old one to the West, across the way. I met both Lou, as the Store manager, and Brandi as, I believe, a volunteer. It has been my experience as a longstanding customer, that Lou is an honest, considerate, and good store manager. Not just trying to make a sale. He is knowlwdgable and always working hard. He is a humble man whom i have always found to be fair and honest with his customers. In my pleasurable experiences shopping, i have consistantly found His, now, Manager, Brandi to always be so very helpful! She is knowledgable and honest. Her work ethic is incredible. I have never seen someone work so hard! She has always been so willing and sincere and Considerate to help. Her moral compass is well calibrated. NO wonder Lou appointed her as his manager. I have always seen her from my customer experiences, to be the go to girl, whether a volunteer or manager, she always gets it done with a smile. She is A true and loyal asset to the Greeley Habitat store and the Store M6manager Lou- I've personally seen it, as have many loyal customers, in his absence and in his presence. They are both, in my opinion, Good Representations of the...
Read moreHabitat for Humanity Restores are such a wonderful idea. They help Habitat for Humanity with its important mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Homes are built with all volunteer labor. They also help the local communities they are located in by provided local programs, a place for locals to shop for building materials and household items that are donated and they directly help the environment by keeping a lot of items out of the landfill and facilitating reuse and recycling of items that still have life left in them.
Sadly, until just recently the Greeley Habitat for Humanity Restore was not a place high on my list to shop at because they had such limited hours and the store was a mess (dirty, unorganized and a lot of items in quite bad shape).
I read that the store was under new management and that they were making a lot of changes, so I stopped by. I was quite impressed with the changes I saw and spent some time chatting with Kathy, the new manager. She is working very hard to clean up and organize the store and to obtain items of higher quality. I have no doubt that it'll continue to improve and am looking forward to...
