I stood at the counter waiting to be helped with a line of people building behind me for over 5 minutes. When a person who seemed like the manager was approaching the counter made no eye contact and turned his back on us in line to look at something, I kept myself from saying something, because I was feeling pretty angry. Then the manager-seeming person summoned 4 employees up by the counter area (about 3 feet from the counter) and pointed at a machine, talking to them about the machine, while we all stood there). We did not even get eye contact or a “I’ll be right with you”. I needed to order something so I could get the code to use the restroom, so I didn’t walk away.
Finally, someone took my order and handled my cash and change with rubber gloves then returned to the food line with the same rubber gloves.
There was no toilet paper in the restroom, it smelled, the baby changing surface had some kind of matter stuck to it and the sink could not have been cleaned for days, let alone maybe a week. Those of us who clean, know by looking. There was a lot of dirt and grime.
The tostada I ordered was on the counter when I returned from the restroom. I had to wait a long time to get someone to give me hot sauce.
The tostada had a small pinch of cheese on it and the beans did not taste the same as they used to taste. I’m not sure why. I have always thought Del Taco had good beans, especially for a fast food restaurant, but these did not taste fresh and I agree with others that they tasted canned.
I heard a man talking about how rudely he was treated at Del Taco when I was in a waiting room. The whole room full of people heard. I hope Del Taco in Greeley improves. I’m not going back for quite awhile. I’ll try it down the road to see if it has improved. I used to really like this place.
If I were the franchise owner or a district manager, I would spend some serious time and effort to get this place operating as well as it once was. The customer service and food 10 years ago was nothing short of outstanding.
I did see a sign that said they were hiring managers. Some of these young and inexperienced employees follow the lead of the older managers. It’s too bad that all of this raw talent is getting exposed to...
Read moreGood n cheap as always now day can almost eat there cheaper than cooking your self. $28 bucks fed my piggish self and fed wife and daughter which ain't no slouches neither. I suggest the fish tacos and the chicken soft tacos and their vanilla shakes make dq look like a runner up lol. Usually not as busy as taco bell but shares the taco bell foods same kinds. As well better quality and price point. Can you please put one in sterling? you make a Killin out here most restaurant chains out here are horrible due to quality of foods as well as the people who make the food. I'm ashamed to say that but regardless true. If you don't have a good product to make the food believe it or not kills kitchen vibe. Makes employees not be proud of job hense loss of quality. Del taco I've never had a mushy soft pice of tomato in my tacos. Taco bell literally given me food poisoning on more than one occasion. And no I never worked for them. Back in the day when the chain come to Colorado first and still always cool. Up in the city when I was homeless I could aquire free mmj but not food so I would trade a drive thru employee whatever I could get and would see that I was fed well. I know it's against there policy and always has been but that's the kinds of employees they hire. And a secret from me the weed well it was pretty nasty old dried moldy looking stuff and no it wasn't thc crystals it was mold. But did what I could to survive. And I'm quit sure on the nasty level I'm quite sure it wasn't ever smoked but still helped me out repeatedly untill I got off the streets wish I could say thank you to them for helping me out. Myself currently dying from...
Read moreI really dislike having anything to add that is of any negative effects. But as of recent a couple of visits haven't set well with me. One of which a sign was posted informing customers that the lobby was not going to be available on said day due to being understaffed. I chuckled as I among many others have managed or been employed at similar establishments. Common sense alone will tell you that by sending all of your customers through the drive through isn't making any extra bodies available. It only stresses the single order taker to pull the weight of what typically three registers would be responsible for. Elongating the waiting time to have completed the orders. Causing long obstructing of traffic lines in wait. Also consider the patrons whom lack the ability to place an order at the drive through due to bicycle, bus, walk, etc. I would argue this point for all around efficiency. One less employee on the fryer or assembly area and one extra to tend to the lobby orders. Also have encountered cash only moments that last a full shift or greater. Due to card reader malfunctions. Granted this is expected but rarely not as often as I have encountered here at the Del Taco. On the bright side the strawberry shakes are deliciously refreshing and made with real strawberries for a win/win. Oh and Kudos to the female I always complete my physical transaction with as she is always at the window. Del Taco give...
