We haven't been to Outback in years!! But we enjoyed our lunch there today, they had several menu options to accommodate our cravings. We were greeted promptly and politely by the manager Alisa, and we were immediately seated with no waiting. I came looking for some delicious Prime Rib, and I found it! I ordered the Prime Rib with fresh steamed vegetables and loaded mashed potatoes, and my lunch date ordered the Chook Ribs and Sirloin plate with Baked Sweet Potato loaded and a House Salad. Both of our meals were very good, there was a short wait, but of course they give you that delicious bread and butter to pass the time! Our portions were plentiful on our plates, the food was prepared correctly as we ordered. I found my steamed vegetables to be a bit under steamed, far too raw and crunchy for my personal liking, but they most definitely were fresh, so no points taken away there, some people prefer them like that, just not my personal preference. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because my Prime Rib came with no AuJus, (as indicated on the menu) and I had to ask 4 times (to 4 different people) to actually get it for my meal. I asked the server who delivered my meal, the hostess, the manager and my server. My server did tell me she rang it into our ticket for our meal, however; I suppose the kitchen lost the request in translation. When I did receive it, my Prime Rib had gotten much colder than I'd prefer, but I will say the AuJus was quite flavorful and delicious, I just wish I could have enjoyed it with a hot or warm steak. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked and the restaurant and waiting area were also clean. Overall, we'd return, the food was delicious and everyone has off days, you just...
Read moreGot seated at approximately 11:08am. No other customers in the store. There are four people in our party, including two young children. It was disappointing that we were seated in a booth right next to the bar, right next to the kitchen, and right next to the check-out/order computer. What this meant is that for a large part of our meal we could hear servers talking less than two feet away behind our heads at the computer, working in the bar, and even the cooks loudly talking. We can hear it all because there were no other customers, and no other customers came in for nearly a half hour. It was awkward for us to talk to each other because the staff less than two feet behind our backs could obviously overhear everything we were saying, because we could clearly hear them. It was distracting and unpleasant. I understand that servers work in a section, but the booth we were given was one of the worst in the house when literally every other table and booth was open. Customers shouldn't have to ask to be placed at another table when it is very clear that this is an undesirable location and every other seat is open. When I have asked to be moved in the past it is not uncommon for hostesses/servers to not take it kindly, so I refrained. Clearly management knows it is hard to concentrate at this table when the rest of the house is empty, as a manager chose an excellent booth in a far corner to work on something, which is where we should have been served at. The food was excellent. The server, Aliyah, provided good service. The experience was marred by the totally unnecessary table...
Read moreThis was by far the worst outback we have ever been to. We went yesterday and I can’t get over how bad the service was. There was 4 adults and 3 toddlers. We were told a 25 minute wait and it was 35 minutes of waiting when we were supposed to be texted they were ready for us. We went to check and they stated “we were ready for you a while ago” but we didn’t receive a message. Once we’re seated we waited 20 minutes for a server to come and take our drink order. We wanted our toddlers juice refilled in their styrofoam cups and instead the waitress thought it was a good idea to give them adult GLASSES. Glass cups for a 2, 3 and 4 year old. Nice. We waited so long every person went through 3 refills and loads of bread. No plates or cups were picked up so the table was crowded with dishes. Eventually the food came after waiting over an hour. The food came out cold. Steaks were paper thin and well done, nothing was medium rare like we asked. Every person at my table had cold food we couldn’t even bare to touch, and we were starving. Garlic Bread was like a hockey puck, mashed potatoes was hard and cold, coconut shrimp was covered in grease and cold, and the kids meal was cold. I had get up to ask for the manager because the waitress NEVER came around. They tried to redo one of the plates with steak and it was still terrible. We walked out and left without paying a penny thanks to a worker that said it was on the house....
