The Hoppy Brewer — Restaurant in Gresham

I have tried over and over going to this place and not once have I had a good experience. Once I went in just for some rubber o-rings. I wanted to pay with my card but I was told I would have to buy more if I was going to use my debit card. Trying to be nice I did buy a few more random things. I left feeling like a nuisance. Few months later I went in to get some yeast. No one would wait on me. I was there for 15 min while employees talked. I finally just grabbed yeast without getting my questions answered and stood in line(there was 2 other people in the store). When it was my turn the cashier said they would be right back. I said “great no worries”. I was left for 5 more minutes. At this point I have been in the store for 30 min. I had to ask the owner to ring me up. My last time I went in I wanted to get supplies for my beer and once again could not get help. This time they were acutely busy and so I tried to be nice and patent. I will admit they were quick to sell me a beer. I drank my beer but still took me 45min to get out of the store. They might make good beer but as for the beer supplies I cannot stand the customer service. There stock supplies are not all that great. I have asked all my beer making friends not...

I used to love this place. I bought all of my brew supplies here. That ended when I decided to try some of the beers in their tasting room. We had some friends visit from out of town who wanted to try some local beers and I thought it would be a good idea to go here. We had our 8 month old with us and sat at one of their outdoor tables. I went in to order a beer and before I could say anything the guy behind the bar quickly demands "Is that baby yours!?" I told him he was and was informed we couldn't be there then. Seriously? He's 8 months old and you're a tasting room that shares an outdoor patio with a burger joint we were going to eat at. It's not like he was a toddler or young kid running around or a teenager trying to order a beer. An infant.... On top of that if you had politely said your policy was not minors what so ever I wouldn't have had an issue. Thank you for showing me where your company...

First time going to Hoppy and I enjoyed the experience very much! The bartender Jeff(1) was friendly and attentive, even as the taproom filled with several customers he was on top of assisting customers with a friendly demeanor and quick service. The cider I had (Loganberry) was delicious and instead of having the intended 1 drink and leave kind of day, I ended up having three and meeting some fun people, who I joined in a game of scrabble with. (Hoppy provides games to play while there) It was convenient to have the Local cow close by to grab food which was delicious as well. The servers were kind enough to deliver the food to me so I wouldn’t have to wait for my order and Hoppy allows you to bring in outside food to eat.
