I came to the Grosse Pointe Men's Wearhouse trying to get alteration done to a suit that I already owned, and was also planning to get a new pair of shoes, new shirt, belt, and tie. When I called to make sure that they did alterations to outside suits they told me that they did and also told me when it would be ready if I brought it in today. I went to the store and the lady at the counter was very helpful and ready to mark the suit for alterations and confirmed that it would be ready in a week. I let her know that I had some questions for the tailor, so she told me to come back at 3:30 and the tailor would be there. I go back at 3:30, I walk back to the room where the tailor was working, politely say excuse me, and she looks at me as if she's disgusted to see me. I let her know that I had some questions about the type of alterations I wanted to get done but before I could even go into detail about what I was trying to get done she asked me when did I need the suit back. I told her the date that the young lady gave me earlier and she immediately said she was backed up and couldn't have it done until the end of the month. I asked her why would I be told that I could have my suit done in a week if you're backed up, she completely dismissed me and told me to talk to the manager. Read moreI went into this store yesterday. There were staff members standing around talking to one another. They were like deer caught in headlights when I came in. One saleswoman decided to break the pack and hesitantly approached me and stood about 15 ft away asking what I needed. Pretty weird reception for a retail space. She commenced to show me one suit I advised I was working with the budget and she stated they didn't have anything in the store that could meet that. I stepped over to the clearance rack somewhat disappointed because I found items there that were in my budget but I was frustrated with the reality that this person just didn't want to serve me. I perused the clearance rack knowing full well that I wouldn't spend a dime where I wasn't welcome. In business customer service is everything. If you have a problem with people that come in your door to purchase items you shouldn't be in retail. Read moreOne day, and that day may never come.... I will get my tux from here without having to make multiple trips to correct their errors. They are always nice, but efficiency---not so much. I rented tuxedos for my last three formal events here. All were delivered with errors. Today (pick up day) they gave me the wrong tux to try on. -someone else's...Whoops... but at least I was here and tried it on. The "right" tux was still wrong. Wrong jacket size. Mind you, the last time I rented from here was in August, and that order was wrong, too. If you rent from this location, make sure you try everything on at the time of pickup.
