Taco Bell — Restaurant in Grove

I am a plant based eater, so I'm a little selective of what I eat. When I go to the Grove Taco Bell, I ask for the 7 layer burrito with no animal products (like no cheese & sour cream). I'm very thankful for the Taco Bell crew fulfilling my unusual order and also giving fast, friendly service as well.

I've been to this Grove Taco Bell many times, and for the majority of times, I call in my order a few minutes before I arrive. (I might switch to doing online ordering because that's available). When I come to Taco Bell, I have just a minimal wait time, and my food is ready. I'm really thankful for this because normally when I come to Taco Bell, it's during my 1 hour lunch break.

Especially when I first started working in Grove in 2016 and probably also in 2017, I ordered from Taco Bell so much that I all typically had to say was I wanted 3 or 4 "Franklins", which were the 7 layer burritos with no animal products. Actually, in the past, a few other people have gone to this Taco Bell and ordered "Franklins", too.

I'm greeted by name, and I just feel like this Taco Bell has a welcoming, friendly atmosphere from all of the workers.

Clearly they were understaffed today because the drive-through line was long and took quite some time, plus the lobby was closed with a sign saying they wouldn’t open the lobby until 3 PM. The cheesy potatoes were hot and good, but they hardly put any cheese sauce on them. That was really the main problem with all the food. Tacos were under filled, quantities were less than slim. We took my elderly aunt on a day trip from the nursing home. She likes hard shell taco with meat only. Her lunch was so disappointing. I know it seems like a meager request, but for her going to Taco Bell was the highlight of her day. There was almost no meat in the hard shell. It was so pitiful. She dumped the little bit out in the palm of her hand and ate it, the shell was stale. Our other tacos and burritos were underfilled as well. Food was thrown together sloppily. I did give three stars because the flavor of the potatoes were good and the gal at the drive-through was...

I used the drive thru and ordered a Doritos taco, chalupa supreme, root beer and the cinnabon bites.. There wasn't a line at 11pm and the food was served quickly. The employee at the drive thru was friendly, handed me my drink and asked if I need any sauce... Paying was quick and easy. I live about 5 minutes or so away.. food was still hot and freaking delicious! Everything was as ordered and they didn't skimp on anything!!! Plenty of meat and veggies, sour cream 😋. Taco was crunchy, chalupa was the best ever.. but the Cinnabons... Oh my goodness!! My first time having them!!! I have to say... YUMMY!!!!!! Hot, soft, cinnamon sugar.. melt in your mouth bite with creamy deliciousness inside! Wow... Hit it outta the ballpark with those!!! I will definitely try those again soon!!
