Wow, a surprising amount of hate for this store and Helzberg in general. I came in a few months ago prior to a surprise engagement in NYC to buy the ring. I was quickly assisted by two women, one a manager and one a long time saleswoman for the store. Liz was the name of my saleswoman and I must say she did an excellent job. I'm also in sales and appreciate the way I was treated. She didn't rush me and she took the time to get to know what I wanted in the ring and what my preferences were. After learning what I was looking for she started providing a slew of options. Nice job sensing I was looking for the upsell! haha

Overall it was a very pleasant experience. There's a reason I went straight to Helzberg and really didn't consider any other place. In the past I've bought her a few other diamond pieces. I think I didn't go with Helzberg one time. After that they were all from Helzberg. The reason I only go there is solely for the service. Everybody's got diamonds, they're all going to be roughly the same price for the same pieces if you're comparing apples to apples. The difference is the service. Warren Buffett knows how to run a company. They have a lifetime warranty on all of their pieces. I've had 3 small diamonds fall out of a necklace I gave her 6 years ago. You know what happened when I brought it in? They looked up my account, saw that I did indeed buy it from them, and they took it right away and replaced them. I had the necklace back within a week cleaned, polished, and with 3 new diamonds.

We had a wonderful experience working with Brandon at Helzberg Diamonds in Gurnee! Brandon was a true professional!

My wife had her wedding ring stolen and our goal was to try to get the exact same ring or as close as possible to it. Unfortunately her ring wasn’t being produced anymore and we didn’t see anything that quite fit what we wanted in the store. However, Brandon quickly suggested that he could have a jeweler recreate her ring if that was what we wanted. We (surprisingly) only had a couple decent pictures of the ring which we sent to Brandon and working with his craftsman they were able to provide us with a computer model of the recreated ring to see if we wanted to proceed with fabrication. It was a small down payment for them to 3-D print a replica of the ring which we could then come to the store to examine before proceeding with a full payment. The 3-D printed ring was very close to what we wanted and they were happy to accommodate a couple minor changes we requested in making the actual ring. We LOVED the final result and are so happy to have worked with Brandon and Helzberg!

Brandon was personable and provided close communication throughout the whole process. It felt like he wanted us to be happy and comfortable with our ring and there was never any pressure to settle for something we didn’t want or spend more than we were comfortable with. Despite having a custom ring made with a diamond that was larger and higher quality than the original one, we ended up paying less money than I did 10 years ago when I bought the original!
