MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Gurnee

I went to dine with my 7 year old like we always do as a family at mod for pizza when we arrived we were not greeted my 7 year old kept saying hi because she was excited and love to see them making pizzas. After 8 to 10 minutes I was finally greeted then rushed to the register but I was trying to explain that we wanted certain toppings on the 3 pizzas .I informed the cashier which was excellent and very friendly. Fast forward to pick up they tried to give me a burned cheese pizza I explained that the pizza was dark and burned and I would like another and the male from the oven kept insisting that only the toppings were burned but not the bottom of the pizza. Even the young lady agreed with me that the pizza was burned and kept apologizing but the guy became very aggressive with his words and flipping the pizza around to show me that the bottom was not burned . But isn't the purpose of enjoying the pizza for the toppings as well? Smh I have an autistic child and it was definitely traumatizing for her watching this exchange of words with this guy I demanded corporate number and then they decided to give me another customers cheese pizza which wasn't made how my child requested but we took it just to get out of there. This isn't the first bad experience since this place has gotten new employees but this was the worse. The old crew was nice warm...

While I love MOD pizza and we order here frequently for lunch, this location has left much to be desired. The one guy who seems to be there whenever I come in has a habit of being rude. He demands you tell him what you want on your pizza before he starts making it. The one time I allowed this he forgot ingredients and was skimpy with toppings. So, I say to him I will tell him as he goes. He got angry and started slapping sauce on, didn't even cover near the edges, then threw a handful of garlic on. I said if it was too much to get someone else to make my order and he just ignored me and continued. Had to ask for more pepperoni and when I asked for bacon and threw a huge handful on there. Always saying, "what else" before he is has enough of the previous item. Seemed to take a long time to bake and when it came out, the edges of my pizza were black. This place was not busy today, no reason to rush, not reason for the attitude. Not the first time he has been a pain, but will be the last. Andreas is great but I haven't seen him in some time not sure he is still there. They used to have a link you could use to write a review and Andreas told me to do that. I did and now that link is nowhere to be found. Do yourself a favor and if the staff is rude, walk away. Great product, lousey employee. Lake Geneva store is incredible for food...

This was my 3rd time at this location. The first 2 visits blew me away with the accuracy and ease of ordering. This time around I was rushed by the employee assembling the pizza. First of all, there is not a list or signage with the ingredients. I was calling out the ingredients I wanted from their app. I could tell the employee was getting annoyed. Not my fault. I get that they want speed but when they compromise my order that's totally wrong. Secondly, I know the employee skimped on the ingredients this time around. I get the same toppings each and every time and I know how it should look. I will be back to give them one more chance and if the "hurry up" continues I will never return. Lastly, "garlic rub" means just that .... Take the garlic and "rub" it into the pizza dough .... Don't just toss it on. Geez, train your employees
