I’m sorry but the poor reviews of Store With No Walls are ridiculous. Janet is the GOAT of vintage apparel; she has lovingly dedicated decades of her life to collecting, curating and selling vintage clothes and costumes; there is a reason why boutique owners, collectors and costume designers and stylists go to her. She offers everything from vintage furs to precious stone jewelery to designer goods to 80s sequins and 90s flannels. The fact that people showed up to that sale and assumed they could get Saint John knits for 3 dollars is silly. Store With No Walls is not a thrift store or charity shop. I have had nothing but wonderful interactions with Janet, fair prices and her stories about fashion in nyc throughout the years and her studio 54 days are priceless. I had such an amazing experience shopping with Janet yesterday. She kindly squeezed me in on short notice, even though she was extremely busy, and made me feel so welcome!

As an upcycling designer, I was blown away by her warehouse. It’s not just a wholesaler space, it’s like a treasure trove and a museum, packed with inspiration everywhere you look. I was able to source so many incredible pieces, and I can’t wait to come back.

I also want to clear up some of the negative reviews here: they are simply not true. There are no minimum spends required, as one reviewer claimed. My own experience was the complete opposite. Janet emanates positivity, is incredibly helpful, and truly cares about the people who shop with her.

Pretty bad, they were firm in selling me a 10$ shirt w stain, I only liked 4 items out of the lot but everything was really overpriced. It’s also a 500$ minimum to enter into the actual warehouse. Which they conveniently don’t mention on any ads. The only thing that was nice are the coats and they start at 200. We rented a car in hopes and came from the city, there’s way better...
