Good afternoon; I just would like post my view, I love attending Zumba classes, most of the time in some of the classes i am the only woman of color in the class. I only come there for one purpose is to Interact with other Participants and enjoy the Zumba classes. But some times when the instructor is Announcing Certain events that they’re having they only speak Spanish. I think they should speak English and Spanish because there’s a lot of people don’t speak Spanish, so both language should be spoken, not trying to cause trouble just calling as I see it. Some when I am the class I don’t do any jumping because of my knee. Sometimes they look at a person like if they are not during the Routine right , they don’t want you in their class , that’s how feel nobody’ is giving prizes I know a lot of people left the class and went to other locations because they get insulted because they have the impression that they always have to do the steps right It’s only to exercise for all the tParticipants . If I was getting paid under to do the steps that’s another story. I heard a lady said I don’t want to be my hair because she don’t know how to do the steps. Leave other people alone. It’s sometime I feel that the Spanish instructors I’m not gonna call them out only want the speak Spanish people in there that’s just how I feel and that’s what I see . When I first started coming to. YMCA I had an issue with one of the ladies on a machine she wanted to hole the up the machine so I went up to the desk and mention it to someone at the desk that lady really got pissed off with me telling me that she’s professional if she was professional she would allow me to use the machine While, she was waiting to get back on. So I don’t use the machine at the YMCA, I go to my second GYM to use the machine. . Every time I come to the Zumba classes I’m come three times a week sometime I’ll come four times a week but I don’t really let it bother me because I only come there for one purpose ido Zumba and I’ll leave. But I do love the Zumba classes. That’s the reason why I come. So that’s how I feel about the YMCA. And I am a veteran. PS sometimes we have substitute I will go up to the that Instructor and ask if can take a picture with them most of the times they will say I really enjoyed the classes .Thank you for listening. Hope to hear...
Read moreMy recent experience at the YMCA club fell far short of my expectations, and I am deeply disappointed. I would like to share this experience to highlight the main issue I encountered: unwarranted fund deductions and attempts to defraud customers, all under the guise of convoluted agreements that, it seems, no one bothers to read.
Initially, when I reached out to the club and explained the need to temporarily suspend my membership due to financial difficulties, I was assured that my membership would be put on hold and they will charge me $15 each month. However, in the following month, charges were debited from my account for workouts in the subsequent month, along with an additional $30 for insufficient funds in my account. This was excessive and unjust, leaving me feeling deceived. When I had a face-to-face conversation with the gentleman at the front desk regarding the monthly charges, he assured me that it would be only $15 per month. However, he failed to inform me that additional charges would be deducted for the following month.
As for my attempts to contact the club by phone and explain the situation, the experience was devastating. The lady on the phone not only refused to listen to my arguments but also continuously asserted that I was a fool and should have read the agreements more carefully. This was unacceptable and did not align with customer service standards.
This experience has left me with a bitter aftertaste and a profound sense of disappointment. I came to this club with hopes of receiving quality service and understanding, but instead encountered confusion and attempts to defraud me, along with an inappropriate attitude from the staff. I hope that the YMCA club's management takes note of these serious issues and takes measures to enhance transparency, fairness, and professionalism in their treatment of customers. If I could give this establishment zero stars, I most...
Read moreMy honest experience with UMCA: I would never recommend this place to anyone.
We chose this camp for my son and paid all the required fees — monthly membership, a one-time activity fee, and weekly payments. After just one week, my son was unhappy and didn’t want to continue attending. The environment was too strict: kids are not allowed to wear what they want, talk to who they want, and there’s no meal plan included despite the high fees. Honestly, the camp was not worth the money or the hassle.
When we decided to stop attending, I followed their exact cancellation process: I emailed them and I physically went to the center to cancel the membership. I was told everything was taken care of and that my membership would no longer be charged.
To my surprise, I just found out they continued to charge my account. If I hadn’t checked, they would have kept charging me $70 every month without any notice.
This membership system is extremely inconvenient and feels dishonest. You have to physically go there to cancel? That’s unacceptable in 2025 when everything should be manageable online. I wasted a lot of time and money on a camp that was not even close to being worth it.
There are plenty of better camps for the same or even lower price, with meals included and a more friendly, supportive environment. Please do your research and don’t get trapped by their confusing membership system and poor customer service.
I will never sign up for anything that requires a forced monthly membership like this again — no matter how good the camp...
