Verve Studio — Local services in Hanover Township

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a year now but have felt hesitant doing so as Ive had sympathy for the stylist’s situation. Recently, I have had a lot of fellow brides ask me about my experience with Verve so I need to write an honest review. I heard amazing things about them and saw nothing but good reviews when I booked in 2023. When I first went for a trial, everyone was great. However I didn’t have a great feeling leading up to the trial as I was going through a difficult time with some hair loss and I felt that the emails back and forth weren’t very sympathetic. Nonetheless, they worked with me and I got over that after I went for my trial because I loved how my hair came out.

The big disappointment is as follows. On my wedding morning, the stylist showed up in an unprofessional state and really struggled to get through the morning. Luckily, I was very calm but her energy was contagious and sent much worry around my room. While I tried to be very sympathetic and positive that morning, her lack of mental presence did cause her to accidentally place the wrong girl’s extensions in my hair and have to start over causing morning schedule to fall behind. She also kept leaving to go to the bathroom several times further causing my morning to fall behind. At the end of the day, my wedding hair was done but it was nowhere near as nice as my trial. I was greatly disappointed and so were some of my family and bridesmaids. Hair is something I was so anxious to decide on as a Bride, but Verve made me feel so comfortable and confident! I booked Verve for my December 2023 wedding, and I would recommend them to all NEW JERSEY Brides to Be for the wedding hair of their dreams! I completed my hair trial with one vision in mind and of course, the week of my wedding I did change my mind – however, the Verve team didn’t even bat an eye and were extremely flexible to change my hair style the day of my wedding! I have never felt so beautiful then I did on my wedding day and a lot of that has to do with the Verve Hair Stylist team. I provided my own extensions, and they were flawlessly clipped in, I didn’t lose any hair all day! I wore my hair down for 12+ hours and the style and curls all stayed! I was amazed! As someone with naturally thin hair I was nervous to do an all down style, but Verve must have sprayed some magic hair spray in because up until he moment I fell asleep, I still had the hair of a princess! Verve also offers a variety of other services, Makeup, Day of Planning, Honeymoon Planning, etc. Although I didn’t utilize these services, now that I had such a positive experience, I wish I had! In addition to my hair, Verve also made all the hair of my bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride look incredible and all these women wanted very different styles and 100% of them looked amazing and lasted ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT! I used Verve for on site Wedding day hair and makeup. A massive THANK YOU to the entire Verve team and a special shout out to Kristi, Cheyanne and Asha. From the moment I booked Kristi through the day of my wedding, she was so kind, accommodating, incredibly responsive and so beyond organized. I have curly hair and wanted to wear my hair naturally curly for my wedding. Kristi not only introduced me to my now curly hair dresser, but she paired me with her Verve curly hair expert, Cheyanne and let me tell you, Cheyanne made my curly wedding day dreams come true - she did two hair trials with me, was so sweet, patient and did my day of hair better than I could have EVER imagined. My makeup was done by Asha who was equally wonderful and amazing!!! Asha is so sweet, she listens to you and what you want and executes to make you look like an elevated version of yourself. My makeup lasted the ENTIRE night through sweat and tears and I loved my look.
