Fuddruckers — Restaurant in Roxbury Township

(2020) Fuddruckers is my favorite hamburger chain.I've become used to its offerings and they've lost their cutting-edge appeal...but I still visit when I'm passing by. The branch is a little bit off the path, when traveling via I-80, but not so far off that you should ignore it. Reasonably clean, reasonably quiet, and all-you-can-eat fries. The build-your-own toppings offer more than merely hamburg decorations; you can turn the pico de gallo and other choices into a useful side-salad. If you're taking a long drive, be sure to ask for a take-away cup for your beverage...drink what you like in the restaurant, and have something to sip on while you continue traveling. For what it's worth, there's a couple of attractively-priced gas stations nearby!

(2023) This is still a great location. Nice premises. Prices have become a lot higher. Food has been slipping a bit; less predictability in the done-ness of the burger. No lemons on the drinks bar. Soda machines are a bit finicky. One less star than back in 2020. Consider the franchise in Parsippany, not far away. Lots of TVs, if that's your thing. Clean. And, oh yes, the Roxbury area now has the lowest gas prices off of I-80...and for...

My first visit. Accidentally in a way... We needed food on a Monday night and they were open.

We knew nothing about this restaurant chain.

We had to figure out to order way in the back of the facility and that there are no waitstaff. The staff that did interact with us were clean, pleasant and polite.

Also that they specialize in burgers. I had ordered fish not knowing about the burgers.

My fish was cooked, but so greasy the battered coating as soggy and falling off. Yuck. The cole slaw was great.

Hubby ordered a burger with a fancy name. It was dry, even with toppings.

The 'all you can eat' fries didn't entice us because they were so salty. We like spice on fries, but don't kill me with salt.

The milkshake saved my mood. It was delicious.

All in all, a disappointment for us. I doubt we will return. Too many other places had we gone another half mile.

PART TWO: Fuddruckers reached out to us with apologies and an offer to revisit them. The management seemed to have listened to my complaints and does want to...

This place has the worst customer service. The cashier was rude. I ordered a hamburger and unfortunately they put mushrooms on it which I am allergic to and never ask for. Thankfully, I checked my food first but then when I went to the manager to let him know they messed my order up he looked at me and had no reaction, then I say can you re-make my burger and saw the person grilling he brushed the mushrooms off and threw the patty back on grill to re-serve me that same food. The manager looked upset because I said i dont want that and was not even apologetic instead, his co- workers said they was sorry. Does anyone see something wrong with that? I cant tell you the manager name because he had no name tag another guest that was there said manager name is Gabe but anyway the general manager was not helpful at all either she also looked like I said something wrong and did not want to give their name. I dont think your workers understand how serious a food allergy is, they ALL need training as this is a serious...
