I rarely write reviews but this place just blew my mind. The waiting time was only 10 minutes for two people at 8pm and it was crowded as well. Not bad at all. The place is very clean and I love their cup glasses for drinks. It is so nice. Their price is also very reasonable for their food. My waitress is Canrina. She is fantastic! You can’t go wrong with her! I had: Shrimp Shumai -It is so good. Like a god sent dumpling I’ve ever had. Tasted best with the lower salt sauce they provided with the dumpling. Salmon Roll Raw -This is definitely a chef’s kiss. The salmon is very fresh, you can taste it, and chews so well with the rice. The taste just melts in your mouth. Philadelphia Roll -Best Philadelphia Roll I’ve had in a long time truthfully. Good balance between the cream cheese and the avocado and you can barely taste the avocado in it. Miso Soup -This is most likely one of my favorite soup meals of all time. This soup from this place, I promise you will not regret it. It is the best miso soup ever. Overall, I wish I can visit everyday but I live 2.5 hours away from here so I am heartbroken I do not have a sushi restaurant like this in my area. I will most definitely take a trip down here once a while with a group of friends for next time. Highly recommend this sushi place for any sushi lovers.

Our waiter was very good and the place looked nice but the food wasn't that impressive. This's our second time here, decided to give it another try even though the first time was a huge disappointment. Sushi was average considering the prices, everything honestly didn't taste like it was worth the price... Only things we enjoyed were the seaweed salad and the moneybag appetizer. I liked the idea of the crispy tempura calamari but it was poorly executed, the calamari was so chewy that you can't really take a bite off of it and the pieces were cut too big to be eaten with just one bite so you end up eating half the breading while struggling to cut it in half with your teeth. Hibachi was basic, probably would be more exciting if we had eaten it at the hibachi table but the flavor wouldn't have changed. The ramen or noodle soup was some of the worst I've had... Maybe we didn't pick the right items but so far both our experiences have been underwhelming.

We had hibachi dinner here. Upon entering, the hostess avoided eye contact with us while she spoke to someone for two minutes or more, even walking away out of view for another minute. She suddenly returned, all smiles, asking if we were a party of two (what not even one word of apology for ignoring us and avoiding eye contact?) We were escorted to a hibachi table and perused the choices. The other guests were added to our table. We ordered our meat and seafood choices. The friendly, entertaining chef arrived and prepared the foods with elan and grace. We enjoyed the food. The longer we were in the restaurant the more we noticed the food odors that hung in the air. Everything smelled of previous cooking in the restaurant. They might clean the walls, floors, and cooking areas more frequently to minimize the noxious odors of the place. The value we paid seemed a good one. Don't know if we'll be back here.

I very rarely ever write reviews, but tonight is warranted!! The waitress and chef were very good, but unfortunately the manager and owner were both ridiculous! We had a reservation for 8 at 6pm and because we asked for a high chair the manager tried to make us cram 4 people on one side where it is only meant for 3 people to sit when using chairs. My son still sits in a high chair becaus he is small, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't need the normal amount of space to eat. He got upset with us because he wanted your try and cram another family of 4 with a small child and baby at the table with us. It isn't our fault that they take every single reservation that they receive and don't know how to manage their business. Even with us sitting normal he could have sat 2 other people, but he wouldn't because he was mad. He refused to talk to our table the rest of the night. Then when we went to pay they through a fit because we asked for separate checks and used coupons. They came in and told use that we were not allowed to both use coupons because we made reservations. When I tried to talk with the the owner regarding this she shushed me multiple times because she didn't want others to hear me. This was the very first time, after doing this on multiple occasions, that we were ever told this. I can only assume based on the comments of our waitress that it was because they were upset with us. She kept apologizing to us, but I assured her that her tip would not be affected by this and it wasn't. This is extremely unfortunate because we come here at least 4-5 times a month for carry out and dinner, but after this experience this I don't care to come back. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, Full Moon, Golden Dragon, Sakura, Blue Koi, and Fugihana, that we can go to instead. I come here for the convenience nothing else. I'm am very disappointed in the behavior of the owner and manager this evening. Won't be back anytime soon. ...

We had an extremely disappointing experience tonight at Aki. Keep in mind we have come here numerous times and have enjoyed it but, it seems they have allowed their customer service to decline. We called ahead for a 630 reservation. We were seated promptly and had a young man who was new take our order. We asked for an additional cup for hot tea and, we never received it. Next while the waiter was talking to me, he spit all over my plate and drinking glass. Next, they brought us our sushi roll "King Crab Roll" which was a 16.00 roll and it was a standard California Roll. I sent it back and the manager came out and said it was the "King Crab Roll" I had to explain to her twice that it was a standard California roll and not the specialty roll I ordered. Finally i just requested for it to come off the bill and forget bringing it. Next a brand new chef came out and cooked us the most awful and unflavored hibachi we have ever had. My niece requested extra rice and no veggies and got veggies and no extra rice. As if things couldn't get worse, we waited over 20 min for our check. As we were leaving, the waiter asked me if I had a question. I told him about all the issues and he said it was our chef's first day. He also mentioned they only had 3 chefs and 8 hibachi tables. When we left all 8 tables were full with people waiting to be served and 2 chefs were cooking for a large party. If you do not have the staff to handle the volume you should not seat your customers and expect them to sit and wait an hour an a half for food. Also, having a brand new chef cook on a Friday night for a large volume of people is an awful idea. I am very sad that our local hibachi place left us down because we will not be returning. Lastly, the front door area and bathroom smell horrible like raw sewage. I know you guys had a sewage backup at one time but, you need to have this...
