This was the first time in my life I was straight size shamed. I didn't think such a thing was even possible. I recently lost almost 200 pds (sidenote; some of the weight loss was welcomed, but now it is scary and out of control). I came in to buy a belt. I went to the first belts I saw, and I was berated by the clerk that "nothing over there was gonna fit me," and I needed to look on the other side. She yelled this across the store, and I was embarrassed and wanted to leave. Instead, I bought my belt, after i found one and she lectured me during the whole check out that I was wearing clothes that were too big. I explained (which I shouldn't have to) that I'm sick and losing weight quickly. She just continued being rude until I left.
