I moved here in June 2022. While I initially enjoyed my time here, I have had some deeply frustrating and upsetting experiences that others should be aware of. I want to be clear—when I first moved in, I was drawn to the beautiful amenities, the gyms, and the backyards, just like anyone else. At first, the living experience was mostly positive, though I did have issues with vibrating walls from the start that, to this day, haven’t been addressed. I completed my original 15-month lease and then decided to extend it. That’s when things started to go wrong. On September 1, 2023, I left for work as usual, but this time something strange happened. Our unit doors have smart locks, and suddenly that day I wanted to double-check to make sure I had locked it; the door opened without the key. I couldn’t believe my eyes, so I closed it and tried again. The door opened on its own, with no resistance. I was shocked and terrified, not knowing how long it had been unlocked. Not long before this, I received an email stating that preventative maintenance had been performed on the building, including the front door batteries. Later they claimed the battery was dead, but there was no explanation or apology given to me about the situation. I chose not to escalate it at the time, hoping it was a fluke. Then, on December 12, 2024, I came home around 7:30 p.m. to find my fire alarm going off, beeping loudly every two minutes. There was no way I could sleep through that. I rushed to the front desk, and the staff member there told me it wasn’t an emergency and that I’d either have to wait or change the battery myself. When I asked if I could borrow a ladder to fix it, I was told they didn’t have one. I had to go find a ladder from a kind tenant, buy new batteries at the gas station, and replace the batteries myself. This came just a month after receiving an email on November 11, 2024, about a scheduled inspection, which promised to include “checking the batteries in smoke detectors.” Either they didn’t perform the inspection at all, or I’m somehow incredibly unlucky that the batteries died immediately after being checked. I can’t stay silent any longer. I ignored the first incident, but now I feel like it would be a betrayal to myself if I didn’t speak up. I’ve worked hard to be able to live here, and I believe that these issues, from the faulty door lock to the fire alarm situation, are serious and should be addressed. I’m sharing this not just for my peace of mind but also so that others are aware of what living here has really been like. It’s been a frustrating and, at times, traumatizing experience, and I hope this feedback can help improve things for...
Read moreI was a tenant here from august 2021- November 2022. When i first moved into the apartment my door would have issues with locking , i had to make several complaints about it before it was fixed. They sent me a email about changing the blinds in the home. We never spoke about a time that was convenient . Considering they only gave me a few days notice . They entered my apartment without speaking with me and damaged one of my night stands which i was not compensated for. I ordered groceries and when i went to retrieve my groceries a whole bag of groceries was missing . When i made the complaint they told me that it was security job to watch the tape and figure out what happen with the bag. After 2 months i was given a 20$ gift card for 50$ worth of groceries and no real explanation on what happen . I found out later on from one of the doormen that one of the other doormen stole the bag (smh) they didn’t want to admit it and look bad .when my lease was up i was suppose to receive my security deposit back and only pay rent for the 11 days that i was there for November which added up to about 950 give or take . When i go to check my account i notice that they took the full amount of rent which was 2500$. When i ask Brian (leasing agent)what was going on he said that is a process that they do . Which was a lie because 5 days before that i checked the portal that i use to pay the rent and it had the rent of 9 and Change. Which means someone went in to the portal and change the amount it was suppose to be because they knew i had it on automatic payment , hoping that i wouldn’t check . When i asked for my money back they said they would send me a check in about 3 weeks . I received the check 6! Weeks later and it was the wrong amount. When i called the leasing office multiple times to speak to Brian i was giving the run around for 2 months . I left VM and emails . After i contacted the better business bureau, i received a call 2 days later from a woman with a bad attitude. Eventually she sent me a check for the correct amount in FEBRUARY!. I recommend that you...
Read moreLived here for about 2 years. Cool place with a few nice amenities but my experience here has been completely ruined by extremely noisy upstairs neighbors that make me feel like I'm living right under a construction crew that have a new job to do every day. I have complained for about a year at this point about the noise to the building staff and nothing has changed since. I rarely ever even get a response from them.
On top of this, things have only gotten more expensive here. Rent has gone up. The amenity fee used to be $50 a month and now it's is $75. They started charging $100 for every time you get locked out of the apartment and need to be let in. If you have a pet, not only do you pay pet rent every month but you also now need to pay for this pet profile thing. $100 for the initial pet profile set up and then $25 annually to keep it up. What am I paying all this money for if the front desk can't even simply let me into my apartment if I happen to forget my keys without being charged a whole $100 for it?
I used to love it here but now the place has only...
