I don't know what has happened to this theater in the last 18 months but none of it is good. For starters, a small popcorn costs $9. The slushie machine was melty. And those are just first thing in the door. And everything was dirty. Just dirty, food all over the floor, grime ground into the grout in the restrooms. We picked the back corner of the theater to avoid as much contact with other people as we could. That worked out fine. The step lights are absolutely blinding. Yellow is a terrible choice for a dark room. Red reduces night blindness and is less intrusive to the movie experience. To be fair, pretty sure they've always used yellow, but I never noticed until it felt like it was stabbing me in the eyes. The back row is unable to recline unless you have zero interest in the movie. The dividing wall stands so high that I had a hard time seeing the bottom of the screen with just the footrest out. I had to sit stark upright and I am not a short person. The surround sound was awful. And I mean awful. The only sounds that played through the speakers hung around the back half of the theater were background noises. Which, in a movie where the volume is adjusted appropriately, is fine. This was not. Half of the movie, I had to strain to hear what was being said and the fight scenes (and there were a lot of them) were less than impressive as the lack of sound immersion sucked the life out of the film. The image quality was pathetic. I don't know if the bulbs need replacing or if the whole projector does but the lack of vibrant color, the impossibly dark scenes that left me asking my husband multiple times what just happened, and everything being just enough out of focus to make fast movements hard to follow killed off what the lack of sound had left struggling to be called a movie experience. Overall, a waste of 45 bucks and a disappointing experience for what was supposed to be our first dinner and movie night since covid emerged. I'll just watch my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI bought discounted tickets from my place of employment and tried to use them this weekend (03/12/22). We went to get them scanned for the 1:15 show and it did not work. I couldn't understand why and I said I would have to check my email to see if there were stipulations. My boyfriend and I walked away. We were not rude at all. After thinking about it and seeing that there were no stipulations, I thought it might have to do something with the time of day maybe? We went back and asked for her to scan again for the 3:45 show and it worked. We were happy and still had an hour before the show. We left again. We were NOT rude! We came back at the show time, scanned in, went to get popcorn and proceeded to the theater to watch a movie. We sat down and a lady approached us and said she needed to talk to us. We went out to the hallway and she said we needed to leave. We asked why and she said that we had been rude! No, we had not. At that time my boyfriend did get rude because he was upset over the fact that we were having our date night ruined. That is when he threw the popcorn across the floor and may have said a few choice words. I apologized for his reaction and we left. I WANT REFUNDED FOR MY TICKETS ASAP! We did nothing wrong up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere was plenty of staff behind the ticket counter and despite that nobody, as usual, was stationed at the ticket redemption podium which forces everyone to walk up to the ticket counter, regardless of whether you have a ticket or not. Management was not visibly present or I would have commented about that to them. The overall initial appearance of the entry area was about what you would expect from an AMC facility.
This time, I was in theater 11 which seemed like it hadn't been cleaned up thoroughly from the prior showing(s) as there was plenty of popcorn and cardboard remnants from other concession items on the floor and under the seats. I purposely showed up several minutes after show time to avoid the usual blitz of propaganda and made it to my seat with plenty of time to see a couple of worthwhile trailers of upcoming movies and the movie I cam there to see.
During this visit I did not purchase any concession items or use their restrooms.
After the movie, I made my way out the same way I can in and noticed that staff were seemingly nowhere to be found.
This was actually one of the better visits I've had here. We'll see how that evolves as I continue visiting this theater now that I am an A...
