Do not stay here. Run away. They will not fix stuff on time. We lost so much due to their negligence and their lack of execution. We informed them about a leak in the ceiling a couple of weeks after we moved in. They did not come and look at the leak for weeks. The ceiling was falling down. They finally came in and cut a small hole in the ceiling and let the water drip on the floor in the secondary bathroom, which we could no longer use. They never showed back up to fix the leak. Over a week later the leaking pipe busted and flooded the out unit with at least 3 inches of water. The flooding damaged a lot of our furniture, clothes, and irreplaceable items. The apartment is deemed not livable, so we had to stay at a hotel for several days. My wife and I have had to take five days off work combined. The Apartment regional manager told us that taking does days off to clean up and salvage what we could of our property and meetings with the insurance company was not necessary. We lost a lot of property we worked hard for. The pipe that burst was due to their negligence. We informed them about the leak over a month ago. After telling them about it three times and the ceiling falling down they finally came in and looked at it. They did not fix it, they just cut a hole in the ceiling to let it drip down on the floor. I had to put a bucket underneath, so it would not cause damage on the floor and so my toddler and baby would not get hurt. We could no longer use the secondary bathroom and had the master bathroom as the only bathroom, even though we were paying for two. The flood occurred at 12:45AM, the emergency maintenance number was called numerous times with no answer. City police and fire department had to come out and shut the water off to the Apartment unit. The Apartment complex never called us that morning about the leak after we left messages. We had to call for them to acknowledge the situation and found out that they had actually sent people into our unit to clean some of the mess that occurred due to their negligence. Since we moved into the unit we have had to deal with being put in the wrong unit on the day we moved in. They switched us to the correct one, but we had to pay our movers for additional time that it took. We had no working hot water, microwave, or oven when we moved in. The oven was fixed within a few days. It took about a week to get the hot water issue handled. The microwave issue was never resolved. The day we moved in the unit the master bathroom had a hole in the wall and there was broken tile all over the bathroom floor and tub. That issue took approximately two weeks to address. So we could not use the master bathroom for the first couple of weeks. The hole in the wall was fixed, but was never painted. Since we moved in, we have had only one bathroom to use. The master bathrooms electrical outlets donāt work and were never fixed, which was reported when we moved in. The carpets in the bedrooms were not installed correctly and have cut us several times due to nails/ staples sticking out of them, still not resolved. City officials noticed code violation. They will not give you the contact information to anyone above the Apartment complex manager. This has been the worst experience we have had with any apartment complex. Stay away. If a local news channel needs a good investigative piece, look no further than the owners and management team of āThe District of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreZack and I believe her name is Megan, are absolutely wonderful people but the owners of this complex are crooks I shouldāve left a review along time ago when all of this mess started happening but I donāt like saying bad things about people but here I walk into my apartment two days after Christmas and I electricity is shut off I feel like now it warrants a bad review. So let me just start in the beginning and try to make a long story as short as possible I lease a spot in the live work play which is where you have an apartment in the back and you have a business in the front I paid for a full six months rent upfront plus deposit plus prorated rent so actually seven months it came out to around $28,000 and I paid this upfront now Iām gonna leave out all the specifics but the owners shut my business down before it was ever even able to open and it was not due to anything that I had done it was all stuff that they had done so I have grounds to Sue but needless to say since my business shut down I have no income so on October 30 if I was advised that I was to move out within the next 24 hours and that they were not giving me any of my money back which is bull I moved in in August and I pay the prorated rent for August so my six-month shouldnāt of started until September the whole reason why I paid six nights a front is because I wanted my business to have time to open and get going it was my whole life savings I am now broke and was almost left homeless if it not for Zack and Megan which found a way to put me in let me just say , A third story apartment with a disability mind you I literally die just about every single time I have to come home because the stairs literally kill me secondly I was supposed to have all bills paid everything until June 2019 I freaked out because they only took 10,000 of the money that I had given them and moved it over to the new account I wasnāt for sure how this was going to pay for all of the time until June but they said it would and I would have money left over I then made them aware of the fact that because the live work play was considered a business my bills were very very high over there so I had a $700 electricity bill in the business name And although I thought it was a monopoly to force people into having only one electricity company to choose from I wasnāt that worried about it due to the fact that it was in the business name and now I would have it in my personal name well coasters would not do that so they refuse to turn on my electricity at the new place but considering Iāve been told it was all bills paid I wasnāt that worried about it once again so I come home today two days after Christmas and my electricity is cut off nobodyās answering the phone at the office Iām not going down the three flights of stairs just have to wet back up them again because I just barely caught my breath and walking up in the first time the way these people run business here is a crime they Omie the way I see it over $28,000 plus pain and suffering for losing my business Not to mention the loss of income from it never opening and that was how I was going to be paying my bills and how I was going to be feeding my children with my disability so with that being said the way I look at it all together weāre looking at about $200,000 that this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEDIT TO ADD- WATCH YOUR DATES! We moved out 08/20/2021- the property stated we left 08/31/2021. Ok⦠not that big a deal EXCEPT, they sent us to collections on 09/02/2021 for our move out fees (we did not put a deposit down) they received a 3rd party check from The collection agency 3 days after what they said was our move out, and we never even received a bill for it! On top of that- they were paid for the entire month of August, and added that to the move out balance. I have all of this in writing, I filed a complaint and dispute with the collection agencies- the new company (since this place has had management changes every few months) committed fraud and CHANGED the collection date to 10/31/2021! We now will be escalating this and will be in a bigger fight than originally expected. BEWARE!!!!!! And keep copies of EVERYTHING! I also suggest doing an exit walk through with management or take photos when you leave, because they will make up damages that werenāt there!
Ever since new management has taken over, this complex has gone down hill. The staff is not helpful and very rude. I have spoken to several other tenants who agree that the new management is less than welcoming! When they took over, all they started working on is the landscape, when things INSIDE the apartments are needing MAJOR work. It takes forever to get a work order taken care of. The last thing they should be working on is pulling trees and placing rocks out. How about managing the pool a little better? Like maybe open the ONLY gate that has handicap access. Or somehow find a way to limit the amount of people who don't live here using the pool. The pool is already too small for the amount of units they have, and it doesn't help when its full capacity by non residents. And with that thought, maybe clean it a little more often. With old management the pool was NEVER green, now its green or murky every week. I would look else where before coming to this complex! The only reason they are at full capacity right now is because the housing market is so crazy. I have 3 sets of friends that live here and none of them are resigning their lease...
