I am compelled to address the disheartening encounter my family and I experienced at your establishment, which culminated in an unceremonious request for our departure due to the presence of our service animal. I sought clarity on this matter not once, not twice, but three times—each inquiry stemming from sheer disbelief that such an exclusionary stance was being upheld. When your unwavering response was reiterated a final time, it became unequivocally clear that this egregious misjudgment demanded public discourse.
Allow me to elucidate why I found no obligation to furnish you with an explanation at that moment—though I shall now, for the sake of broader understanding. My wife, as a child, endured an unspeakable trauma: the brutal loss of her mother to gun violence in California. She bore witness as her own uncle extinguished her mother’s life with a single, devastating shot to the head. This is not merely a painful recollection but an indelible scar that permeates our household to this day. So you have it..
In light of such a deeply sensitive and profoundly distressing history, your lack of empathy and rigid insistence on our removal were not merely offensive but wholly reprehensible. To dismissively enforce an exclusionary policy without the due diligence of inquiry or compassion is a flagrant disregard for the very principles of inclusivity and humanity that any reputable establishment should uphold.
This was not a trivial misunderstanding, nor was it a minor inconvenience—it was a manifestation of insensitivity that no patron should ever be subjected to. If a business intends to thrive within a community, it must first comprehend the fundamental importance of treating every individual with dignity, respect, and...
Read moreI came in to have my weekly Mediterranean Chicken Bowl. While waiting, I noticed something being brought to a diners table that I couldn't immediately identify but looked interesting. My waitress happened by and I asked her what it was. She said they were "Cracklings." I told her I didn't realize they had those as an appetizer and that on my next visit, I would have to try them. While I was enjoying my chicken bowl, which arrived shortly after, she came along with a half order of the "Cracklings" and said, "Give these a try." Somewhat stunned by the unexpected gesture, I thanked her and asked what the two condiments were that accompanied these gorgeous looking treats. "That's our salsa, and that's our Queso. Enjoy!" Selecting one, I noticed that they were still warm, a pleasant departure from the normal experience of pork rinds coming out of a bag. The taste was surprisingly good, not too salty, and not spicy in the least. Being a big fan of the salsa here, I tried that next. Yum Yum! Then I tried it with the Queso. As much as I like the salsa, the Queso was really, really good. By the time I finished the half order, I realized I was now hooked on the "Cracklings." They are made fresh, and that makes all the difference from store bought or gas station bought. Plus, the seasoning is spot on. If you haven't been to Awesome Times, do yourself a favor and go. If you like Mediterranean food, try the Mediterranean Chicken Bowl. I also recommend the Mount Fuji Tater Tots, the hamburgers, the onion rings, the chips, and salsa. And of course the new to me star of the show,...
Read moreThe perfect neighborhood watering hole is elusive. It should have a wide variety of food and drink options, with a real local vibe and feeling. Awesome Times delivers in a great way! On a dark and stormy Saturday night I found both a live band and a collection of friends from around the local area. I was impressed by the friendly professional service from the bar before ordering my burger which arrived quickly and hot! Many other places fully packed with patrons would find the kitchen backed up but we're pleasantly on top of their game!
The double smashed-style patty burger was crunchy and full of flavor! The surprisingly thin bun held together a swath of toppings valiantly! The accompaning fries were crunchy on the outside and very soft in the interior. I was recommended the patty melt which will be a future buy because I will indeed be back soon!
Back tonight for a live band (Steel Rose) performance. The place was packed! I had heard the burgers had a new bun so I got my usual burger with green chillies. It was a huge first bite but the bun held fast and the rest of the burger was perfect! The tots were on the Christy side as I like them so it all worked together perfectly. Great food, great show,...
