Sip Stir Coffee - Justin Rd (Highland Village)
I’ve visited a lot of coffee houses around the world and this may be one of the most interesting ones yet. The staff here were outstanding in providing welcoming and comfortable experience.
I was coming here with a friend for an important meeting and the atmosphere felt just right for it.
Let me start by saying that this location has a touch of sophistication and eclectic. The furniture pieces throughout were both designed for comfort and get work done.
When you first walk in, you’ll discover freshly baked items. To the right, two large couches in a fairly large space of its own, with large windows to enjoy natural lighting. You may not even feel like you’re sitting in the same coffee house.
When you place your order, you will have a pleasant and professional experience with the staff who can help you choose anything on the menu you may have questions about. We ordered “Chai Latte” and “Pour-Over Black Coffee.” The cups they brought them in and presentation were amazing. Both drinks tasted fresh and delicious. My friend even said, this might be the best, “Chai Latte,” ever.
After you order, if you’re staying for a while, you will find more seating options. They offer a beautiful large wall art with the “Sip, Stir,” logo in light green colors. Below it, a large table with bench. To the left of it, you can find two additional comfortable chairs in the corner to sit and sip.
What surprised me most about this location is how much space they offered. The storefront makes it look like a cute, small and cozy space. It certainly was cute and cozy. But small? They offer even more space when you walk around the corner past the Pick-Up counter. More seating and tables there, as well.
Since we were here for important meeting, we appreciated that the music was at low decimals and we noticed the staff constantly kept the place clean, even if a few customers were around. I’m looking forward to returning here soon to...
Read moreCame in for the first time since it was Edison, and while the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, coffee was subpar and the baristas were acting absolutely miserable almost to the point of rude.
They opened late at 12:30pm only to close again at 2:00pm for sanitization and deep cleaning after they said “a coworker had the stomach bug there yesterday”. This raises a few questions. 1.) why did they open late if they weren’t deep cleaning/sanitizing? 2.) Texas health rules that biohazards have to be cleaned immediately with bleach chemicals or have a professional biohazard team come to clean. Does this mean that they were knowingly serving contaminated stuff? 3.) assuming they cleaned/sanitized and that’s why they opened late, why do they have to close the entire shop after being open for an hour and a half to deep clean/sanitize again? Why attempt to open at all if the entire shop was contaminated?
I have serious health conditions and I do my best to avoid sickness in any way I can as it makes my conditions extremely worse. This is a serious food and safety concern and needs to be taken seriously. I question their ability to make drinks in a clean environment. People get sick; that’s just a part of life. But how it’s handled matters, especially in the...
Read moreI absolutely love the interior design of this place. It's like the pages in a home decor magazine come to life. There is plenty of seating options optimal for studying, going on a date, or hanging out with friends. (Plus they have a printer!)
Here are my thoughts on the items my friends and I ordered:
Blueberry Freeze - I wanted something to-go but with no caffeine. It's a refreshing seasonal drink with a hint of sweetness. I'd probably ask for a pump of syrup if you want something sweet.
S'mores latte (cold) - I ordered it cold as it was a hot day in Texas. While I liked the latte, I didn't taste the entire flavor profile of a smore; just the chocolate.
Vanilla lavender latte - perhaps lavender is an acquired taste... But to me it tasted like soap.
Croissant - excellent flaky, buttery croissant! No complaints here.
Overall, I would come here again to try more menu items if I'm ever in...
