I have been a regular customer at Madrag Oakland Plaza for years..always had a great experience until this past week, as usual i stopped in after work to find an outfit for the weekend, i found a blouse which happened to be the very last one unfortunately the tag was off and and she could not sell without the SKU, she then assured me (the Spanish lady in charge i later found out works at that branch on Thursdays only) that the item, in addition to 2 other outfits i had in the bag would be held until the following day Fri ..after work i stopped by and that was NOT the case...the young cashier lady tried her best to find the bag (it should have had my name and cell#) attached as she requested from me...the Friday 'manager' was of absolutely no help! She was more concerned with rearranging the floor display! So i again left my number in the event the bag was found, somehow i already knew would be in vain...Today Sat Apr 9th, i took my daughter to shop (like I said it's one of our favorite stores) the same 'so call manager was again on duty, we were waiting on a very longgg line AGAIN because the customer at the cashier had an item with no tag...4 employees visible to customers made NO attempt to open another register to get the line moving, needless to say after 20mins of waiting customers began to get disgruntled, the 'so call manager' was on the phone next to the cashier with, what had to have been her boyfriend or husband...judging from the inappropriate conversation she was having within ear shot of all of us customers on line waiting..one particular customer was very vocal and expressed to her how unprofessional it was having such a personal conversation at the cashier's desk with such a long line and one customer holding up the line because the item she wanted had no tag...long story short another employee got into a heated agreement with the customer...drama in the store!! Madrag corporate needs to step in urgently and reevaluate the current managerial team at Oakland Plaza...compare to another similar store a few stores down (i will not mention the name on account that this might be considered bias) where the employees actually assist customers and the cashier actally asks 'did you find everything alright today?' My 15 yrs old daughter commented on the difference in service! I love Madrag but my recent experience left much to be desired! I've never written a review and my first had to be a horrible one!! I love madrag and will continue to shop there but alothough this one is closest to me i will take the time to go to...
Ā Ā Ā Read morethis store was the worst experience I shopped there yesterday for the first time to look for some birthday quick outfits at last minute I unfortunately had to return the next day because I got a skirt that was a large and I needed a medium so I said okay no problem I'll go and just do a quick exchange from one size to another when I get there the sales associate right away said no we can't accept anything without a receipt I said okay but I was here last night and these have the tags still on them I'm just doing an exchange for one item no can't do it she called her manager her manager said no can do it all in Spanish mind you none of the workers there no English they only speak to you in Spanish so if you speak to them in any other language you have a big problem the manager did not care to assist and not care to help today is my birthday mind you and I had to come and get disrespected no one tried to resolve the issue it wasn't a big issue thank God because God is huge I come back to my car and thank God I don't have to drive back to my house I see that the receipts actually on the floor in my car so I go back to the store and I give them the items and they're like oh I'm so sorry oh I'm so sorry oh I'm so sorry well mind you I will never ever ever purchase at that store again if I was the owner I would fire the whole team it's bad for business really bad for business because I myself am telling anyone that I know not to shop there...

Went to this clothing store wasn't greeted still continue to shop and browse get something for myself go and check out wasn't greeted and to top it off the customer service lady didn't speak any english like none at all!!!! Usually I wouldn't be bothered as I understand fluently but I was asking her questions about return policy and military discount and she ignored me and didn't want to acknowledge me so I asked her in Spanish since she couldn't understand English!!! I understand speaking Spanish but at least attempt to speak back or ask a couple worker to help you I'm Puerto Rican I don't mind latjns but come on in a work place you need to be bilingual or at least attempt to acknowledge ur English speaking...
