Absolutely visit Iāve ever had. As I was racially profiled by a cashier over CANDY!!! I was my making my candy selection and I could feel him staring at me from the clerk spot. I was with my partner when this happened, he also grabbed candy as well. When we get to the checkout. Before I can get even think about clicking the āhow much 15Ā¢ do you have?ā He comes up to me. (Gets all up in my personal space) and starts questioning me. āHow much candy do you haveā and I politely told him about 20 pieces and he proceeds to snatch the bag out from my hand and says āheās gotta count to make sureā which I didnāt have a problem with but he kept on with it. āA lot of people have been stealing candy.ā āJust doing my jobā I wouldāve let this all slide, but my partner also had candy you had to count and the cashier just looks at him. Asks him how much he has and doesnāt even check his candy! So now Iām feeling targeted because he only checked mine and throughout the entire transaction I felt like I had my mother with me. And to top it all off⦠As I was pulling out my wallet to pay. Heās hovering over me asking me repeatedly, ācash or card? Ok you can put it in now. Ok you can take it out. You hit this to get a receiptā like Iām some sort of CHILD. While he wasnāt even talking to my partner about his transaction. Just solely focused on mine when there were plenty of other customers that can be helped. This was quite frankly sickening behavior to come from a mall employee and I will NOT be coming back with him on shift or I just might stop going all together if Iām just going to be treated like a thief. Employees following ey inside the store. This store is...

First off, all coworkers, including the store manager Kayleen. God bless all of you. You have been nothing but nice to me during my time there.
Now, I, just like most of you, disagree with a lot of the policies that the store has, the majority of which are mainly due to corporate decisions that employees and managers have little to no control over. Stop accusing the employees of everything that happens.
I will say that I was never in any way a fan of the āassisted checkout.ā I canāt tell you how many times Iāve gotten dirty looks, complaints, or threats from customers saying they would report me for simply doing my job. Those experiences were the reasons why I chose not to work at Five Below or any retail job ever again.
There is no question that Five Below should enforce better policies and training regimes for both their employees and customers alike.
Lesson of the day: Treat the employees the same way you want to be treated. Let them do their jobs, even if you may not be a fan of how the store operates. You can agree or disagree with me as much as you want, but the criticism toward the employees who actually want to work and care about customer satisfaction...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. This store looked like a tornado touched down in it and the staff tried their best to cover. Stuff was literally everywhere. Merchandise was mixed in with trash like cups and wrappers. The staff again looked like they just lived through this tornado they looked disheveled and we're super rude literally screaming the store was closing and to get out. I get it's the holidays but that's not an excuse something tells me this 5 below never looks too great and the staff's attitude is probably about the same. Go to any other 5 below... You have...
