Macy's — Local services in Holyoke

Sales person was very helpful & nice! My yr old grandaughters bday. Spent a substantial amount of $. Looking thru clothing, trying to decide what I wanted. Or what to match with what. No carraiges!! Had to hold my bag(which is quite lg) all the clothes I gathered. Trying to look for tights, shoes, hair bows, matching with outfits which didn't make my experience any easier with no carraige to put everything in! Sales person said I could put up @ cash register while I looked. If I did that, would have to keep running back & forth to see what matched best. & bcuz of that reason I forgot a couple outfits I hung on a shelf trying to find tights & bows to match best. Were out of most accessories that I needed. Only a pair of white sheer tights & black pair of shoes. Accessories r what makes up the outfit. No bows to match. Was hoping I could get everything I needed In one store & not have to lug all the bags to another store. Don't understand why whoever does the ordering doesn't ever order enough. Not just Macys. Most stores. U want a cute little outfit with everything to match..would b nice to have the rest to complete! Especially when giving as a present. It's like having the turkey without stuffing & cranberry sauce! Also didn't seem to get as much $ off as I thought I was going to after I added up all the % of sales. Dk what happened there! Said 50-60% off some of the racks I picked outfits from. Spent about $300.00, $30.00 off & that was also with the % of filling out for credit card. I will go back & refer to receipt & see what my dicounts really were. Def not 50-60% off! So I spent more $ than I thought I was going to. Didn't have time left to start debating prices. So I have couple bags filled with clothes. Tomm will b on the hunt for them accessories!! I'm sure my grandaughter will look like a Lil princess in all her new clothes though! Very nice...

Disgustingly horrific service and treatment from the employee's. The old hag working in the women's bathing suit area was a huge btch, and completely disrespectful. Treated me like a piece of trash for waiting outside the women's changing room(not at the door or anywhere that I'd see anyone or anything inside) close enough to see my fiancee swimsuit she wanted my,opinion about since its for our honeymoon. The women not only told me not to go IN THE WOMEN'S CHANGING ROOM (well fcking DUH) but that all the women would start screaming if I did.... She then "ordered" me to go sit in a chair that was about 20 ft away(meaning my fuance would hafta walk through the store in a bikini) then ignored another paying customer so she could talk about how much she loves lemon vodka with a non paying customer. She made me and my 9 yr old daughter feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. My fiance did buy one dress but we went and gave over 150 dollars of business to another store because of it. She also loudly told a customer that "everyone knows you cant use a gift card on a credit card bill, what is so hard to understand about that" the customer was embarrassed. I was completely disgusted and will now rethink buying my, and my groomsmens suits there meaning they'll be losing several 100 dollars in...

I've been shopping here for years. The selection can vary and sometimes I find more than others. The prices can be a little high for my budget, so I almost only buy during sales. Love treating myself to Clinique stuff when I can. The staff is generally very helpful and friendly. I did have a not so great experience when I last visited the women's sneaker area in the shoe dept on Sunday. I was looking for new sneakers and the two young employees were laughing and joking around while reorganizing the sneaker display wall. No problem, except that all of the sneakers were on a pile on the floor in the meantime. While they were laughing about not being able to set up the shelves correctly, they lost a customer who wanted to actually buy some of the shoes that they were keeping from being displayed or even visible. I waited for a bit hoping they would get things done, but after 10 minutes of no progress, I went to DSW and purchased there instead. However, my past experiences in the shoe dept were great, and again, usually the staff are really kind and friendly. I'll keep going back for the quality merchandise at reasonable prices (that is, when I catch...
