With reluctance of writing this review because I don’t want it to get too busy, I recommend Aloha Sauna & Spa among others I’ve tried here on Oahu. I’ve lived in Korea for 5yrs & I’m very impressed at how they care for their bodies. The women here are soooo amazing. Kong is my my favorite!!! I call her my Little Mighty Kong! They’re all great, but she’s the strongest & my body needs deep tissue massage big time. For those looking for pampering, Korean spas are not for you! You have to be comfortable with your own body to be scrubbed down & massaged next to other women, & and walk around without a lush robe. I’ve been there with friends which is always nice, but sometimes it’s best when you can just have your own alone time & not bother others with constant chattering. Just fyi, I’ve been shushed before & I get it. So, if you want better skin, circulation, & overall health, I highly recommend a regular visit at Aloha Sauna & Spa. I wish they wound have a stamp card or memberships because that’s where I’d invest my money on 😜

My sisters and I had such a special day celebrating my sister’s birthday at an Aloha santa. I had been once before, and was so impressed with the services. Having their company and each getting the package with the body scrub, massage, cucumber, mask was absolutely amazing. I got Kong again and love her! The three types of saunas with the hot dip in the cold dip. Pool were lovely. The owner who text you it at the front is so efficient and friendly. Overall, we love the space after that we could get ready and to go to lunch for our girls day. Thank you so much. Aloha Sauna for your hospitality! My sister is still say that this is the best experience that they’ve had and they have the soft skin. We were so relaxed.

5 star experience and honestly the best spa I’ve been to. The woman that helped us at the front desk was amazing. My friend had a previous injury and she made sure she was taken care of. All of the amenities were so clean. We loved every moment. Can’t wait to be back when we return. Do not hesitate to book a visit, the amazing reviews are what sold us but we were blown away by how thoughtful and respectful these women were. Thank you so much for taking care of us!

I survived.

My friend treated me here, my first experience with a spa. Didn't look into it, didn't know what to expect.

Very welcoming and cozy environment, but, again, did not know what I was getting into. Started with a shower and a dip in the hot and cold (45° 😮🥶) tubs. Next thing I know, I'm being drenched in oil and scrubbed vigorously. (Today is the day after and I am so soft 🥺🤯🤤) My only real objection to this part of the visit, was once we got to my face, and i was laying on my back, it felt like there was way too much oil dumped on at once. Activate mild concerns about drowning on a spa table....

Exfoliation complete, I was moved to a massage room. The host had asked me at the beginning what pressure I wanted, and I said I wasn't sure. She recommended medium and I said, ok? Medium was no joke. Vice grip hands will have you questioning your life choices. There was a language barrier between myself and the masseuse, but a few minutes in, the host came back and checked on how things were going and then we got the pressure adjusted.

Full body massage completed, I went back and took my fifth shower in two hours and then sampled the three saunas. Salt sauna was exactly what I expected of a sauna. Clay sauna was hot, hot, hot! Could only stand a couple of minutes in there. Gem Stone sauna was absolutely beautiful. Not as hot as the other two, but the gem stones murals of palm trees and dolphins were stunning. One more cold shower, and then time to redress.

They did have a make up/hair station set up for customers to use. They also had a snack and drink bar.

Overall...

I was visiting the North Shore last weekend and decided to experience my first ever Korean Spa. I read reviews about several places in Honolulu and surrounding areas and really liked the positive reviews so many had written about Aloha.

I scheduled a deluxe series of treatments with Julia and she was very accommodating. I had to call back and reschedule and she was understanding. I end up getting confused on the time and showed up late. Julia welcomed me with open arms and a great attitude!

She took me on a tour of the property and cautioned me about the slippery and wet floors. I soaked for about 30 minutes and then I was introduced to Kyong! Kyong was a tiny older woman who had the force and strength of a giant! My body scrub was one of the best spa treatments I have ever received in my life!!! She was so incredibly thorough!!! My hair washing was super invigorating and my collagen facial absolutely heavenly!

Then i moved to another room for my massage and Kyong was my masseuse. Her strength is admirable and she gave me such a wonderful massage. I was asked if I had any areas to target and I said my shoulders and not only did she really get in deep with my shoulders, she provided a beautiful massage with appropriate pressure.

Julia, the owner, checked on me several times and was so gracious with me.

Stop thinking about it and just book an appointment. I can’t wait to return and in the meantime will visit a Korean spa here in San Diego.

Huge gratitude Aloha...

Aloha Special Service - Thorough and refreshing, albeit a little rough!

This past Tuesday, a visiting traveling model and I went to Aloha Sauna and Spa to treat ourselves to some salt sauna, body scrub and facial, and oil body massage time. The environment was warm and relaxing - comfortable in that it was all women. We began with the hot and cold pools and then took some time to relax in the salt sauna (which was my favorite). I might just go back here to spend time in this room again!

When the time for our "special service" as Aloha refers to it came, we were treated to a very thorough body scrub. i felt so clean and new! The facial was a blend of natural cucumbers and not some over-the-counter mix. It was fantastic. However, when it came time for the oil body massage, I felt the masseuse was a little too rough - using her knuckles on tenders spots like ribs and spine and not really focusing on the muscles. After speaking with my friend, it seems that both women were trained to give the massages this way. Tough love, I suppose, but I don't think I'll be getting a massage here again.

In all, the spa was a wonderful experience, and I plan to treat myself again. I've had girlfriends have days-out to the spa, and now, I feel like I understand what it...
