During my recent visit to IT'SUGAR at the Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, I found a candy emporium paradise for those with a sweet tooth, offering an extensive selection of treats from around the world. Sour patch kids, Haribo, starburst, Swedish fish, m&m, etc.
What truly set this visit apart was the exceptional service provided by store assistant Rin. From the moment I entered, Rin greeted me with a warm smile and offered assistance without being intrusive. Her knowledge of the store's vast inventory was impressive; she guided me through the different sections, providing insightful recommendations based on my preferences.
When I inquired about unique local treats, Rin enthusiastically introduced me to the Li Hing Sour Patch Kids—a delightful fusion of a popular local flavor with a classic candy. She also pointed out other exclusive items, ensuring I had a comprehensive understanding of the store's offerings.
Rin's kindness and patience made the shopping experience truly enjoyable. She took the time to answer all my questions and even shared interesting anecdotes about some of the products. Her genuine passion for her work was evident, and it significantly enhanced my visit.
IT'SUGAR features playful candy sculptures and offers a range of Japanese snacks, adding to its unique appeal.
Overall, my experience at IT'SUGAR Ala Moana was delightful, thanks in large part to Rin's exceptional assistance. Her helpfulness and kindness truly stood out, making my visit memorable. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking to indulge their sweet tooth while receiving top-notch...
Read moreIt's almost my sweet tooth haven. And I say almost because they were missing one of my favorite candies, Popcorn Jelly Belly. I could spend easily an hour in here just browsing the products yet only leave with just a small amount of candy. That's because it's kind of expensive. They should have more exclusive candies for the price per pound. Notice to parents: keep an eye on your children and help them select and bag their choices. Otherwise, you'll end up with something you could've paid for 5x less at Walmart or 3x less at Target or CVS lol. In my opinion, workers should have a sample of each of the jarred candies that way they can share their opinions better with their customers. The 2 candies I asked about to 2 different workers had no opinion on the candies bc they never tried it. Didn't make me feel too comfortable in giving it a try myself, & there's no sampling. But of course, I'd go back here again... and again on occasion. (A bit far from where I live &...
Read moreVery nice store. Well put together and maintained. Although the above is true I witnessed a manager following around the employees and from my point of view seemed harassing in nature. I know that is important to maintain structure in a business but the amount of stress put on these employees is uncalled for as the situation was causing me anxiety as a patron. The workers were working hard to achieve all the goals the manager gave them as well as running a busy store relentlessly while still being stalked and what looked to be accused of laziness. The workers were tense and being talked to in front of customers about their performance which is neither professional or conducive of a pleasant shopping experience. I was happy with my service and hope they find new jobs that appreciate their efforts and doesn’t apply the extensive pressure as this...
