Ever heard of sugar Ginger? This place has the best in town. Fresh young Ginger, boiled and drenched in granulated sugar. Eat it like candy, put it in a tea, chop it up and add it to a bowl of ice cream, you name it, it's good AND good for you. If you had the ginger candy at Trader Joe's, then you have a shadow of an idea of what sugar Ginger is. Do you want the real stuff, get it here. Good for nausea, good for cramps, just a great snack all around. I don't know how people haven't discovered this place, but it is amazing! The owner, Kelly, has her kids with her sometimes. They moved up Maunakea street about 2 months ago across from Borthwick and share same parking lot with MunLun Chinese language school. No more looking for Chinatown street parking. Hooray! Pull up into open parking stall right in front of their shop.

Super nice people running the newly renovated little shop. Purchased veggies, bananas , dried shitake and dried oysters here. They have jars of dried goods, scallops and high end Chinese herbs available. I save a great deal of money by purchasing veggies here rather than at Safeway or Foodland. ...

I went to shop at Kelly's Korner to shop for the first time and found their price to be quite reasonable, better than most other grocery stores. While paying, I inadvertently left my money clip behind but didn't realize it until 2 days later. To my amazement, when I went back to inquire, not even sure whether I left it at Kelly's Korner, the cashier heard my description of the money clip and handed me my clip right away with my cash in it.
