I lost the black pearl on my engagement ring 3 days after getting married. I was incredibly distraught until my husband said, we'll replace it at the Merrie Monarch craft fair. Which is where we met Mana of Le Mana Perles. Besides having amazing jewelry available for sale, Mana makes custom jewelry as well. He also carries hand-picked and matched loose pearls. As soon as I showed him my naked ring, he pulled out a pair of pearls that were both stunning. I couldn't split them up (after all of his work matching their size, shape and color) so we offered to buy them both and asked Mana if he could add one of them to my ring. To my shock he said No. =)

He explained that the reason I lost the original pearl is the post on the ring was too short. Instead of just adding his pearl to my ring, he said he would cut out the old post, clean the basin (where the pearl would sit), install a better post and THEN add one of the pearls to my ring. He also offered to make the other pearl in the set into a single earring. And, since his offices are located in Honolulu, he promised to mail it all back to me when he was done -- all for a ridiculously low price. This attention to detail and dedication to his clients is why you should only get your pearls from Le Mana Perles.

Less than a month from the day I gave Mana my engagement ring, I got it back. It was wrapped so carefully, it was like I was opening a brand new ring. I am so in love with it! The quality of Mana's work (he cleaned the entire ring - even the diamonds surrounding the pearl) and the personal attention (he called me to tell me it was ready and sent me a picture of it before popping it in the mail) is beyond my expectations. The new pearl is so beautiful (as is its sister earring) that it almost makes me happy I lost the original pearl. =)

Every pearl is unique, so they choose the design based on how best to showcase the pearl(s) meaning the highest quality specimens are often featured as a single pendant with stunning settings.

Even with how busy they are preparing for Merrie Monarch, they allowed us into their showroom to pick through their stock and created our custom pieces right there on site for us. They were so patient and wonderful in helping us understand how pricing is determined and how to stay within our budget, That even though we were only looking for a single ring for my sister, I was so in love with LeMana’s quality and affordability that I also had a triple-drop necklace made with the pearls of my choosing (all 12-13mm ea), and a pair of earrings to match in the ānuenue setting (10-11mm) for under $450 total.

Between three of us, we purchased 5 pieces in all, and they will now have a loyal family of clients for life. Seriously, we will never buy pearls from anywhere else ever...

We didn't know they are appointment only, but they still allowed us into their shop on short notice. Very kind and down to earth, they don't try to push anything on you. They took the time to explain how pearls are formed and how they're harvested, where they source their pearls, the differences between the pearls. Even though they were working on grading pearls, they took the time to chat with us about Hawaii and their lives on the islands. The craftsmanship is superb, and they have a fine variety of jewelry from which to choose. They do custom work, and will ship if you can't come to Oahu in person. They are well experienced in pearls, Mana has been working with them for almost 30 years! Their prices are very reasonable, you will come away happy knowing you got a good deal!
