The staff around to help was very kind. But as I wanted to make a purchase for a chair I found a coupon for 20% off. I wanted to use the coupon but the staff told me i should order the chair through the website cause they are not sure if it will work. I Was able to order my chair and had an order number and everything showing I was able to buy the chair with the coupon. But as the staff was helping to get the chair ready the old male manager came and said he is unable to let the chair go as the order didn't come in yet. So I told him then why don't you just use the coupon now and ring me up as the coupon must work since I just got 20% off and the order went through saying I can come in for pickup. The manager then proceeded to want to see my coupon and I showed him a coupon on a site that collects coupons and he had the nerve to tell me oh he cannot accept this coupon as this is not from his company which is Office depot. I couldn't believe what I was hearing as how could a coupon from anywhere else can work on your own website!?!?!? It's obviously a office depot coupon code!! Why would anything else work and even if it isn't why does that even matter!?!? If it works then it works!! He didn't even TRY to use the coupon or offer any solutions. Also we were never even taken to a register to try anything. Just excuses to say come back tomorrow. Also if you saw the coupon work and this coupon doesn't work then give me a 20% coupon!! Some of the staff here at Office Max Ala Moana location are racist! I know because I have just been made a victim of racist in this store. I never thought that I'd find racism in this state, but it certainly exist at this location. The gestapo like staff that approached me clearly indicated that an employee without basis felt uncomfortable about me shopping in the store, but they did not care to explain what I did to that made that employee felt uncomfortable, because I did nothing and knew no one at this store in the past or present that warrants that kind of reaction. We were only there minutes when I was approached and told that an employee felt really uncomfortable me shopping in there. Ridiculous! Racist! The staffs that had ordered me to leave on behalf of that uncomfortable employee, took his or her word for it without any justification, they just decided to side with that employee. But these workers don't realize that it's paying customers that pays their salary and benefits. And if I was the owner, I would have fired the two employees that ordered me to leave because of a petty felling of...

My wife and I have been long time customers at Office Max store number 6206 located 770 Ala Moana Blvd. in Honolulu Hawai'i. We just recently purchased another new work station/desk from them, along with a chair and lamp. We are very happy with the quality and prices on all of these items.

We find everyone at the store to be very helpful, friendly and professional but would also like to give special praise to a particular employee, Ms. Sherly Doropan, for being a great sales associate. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful to my wife and I as we make purchases and all the while, makes us feel like a part of her family. As a writer who works from home, I spend many hours at my desk and thanks to Sherly's expert consultation, this new work station is very comfortable and functional, making my job much easier.
