This was such an odd encounter. I booked a “Botox” appointment specifically. I was called to reschedule. No big deal. Then called again to cancel. I didn’t feel that was fair and luckily they got me in. For Botox. I arrived early and wasn’t greeted when I walked in. Ok no big deal. I hung around and came back on time. Again no greeting or “hello.” I get checked in for my Botox appointment, confirm how many units, the doc takes my picture and says “oh wow, pretty bad.” I get it, I’m here for Botox, but don’t insult me. She sits me down and we talk more about where to inject. Then she says “I don’t have Botox” This would have been nice to know ahead of time. My appointment was for Botox, confirmed for Botox. I like to do a lot of research before something is injected in my face and could have done that if I had known. I’m sure the doctor knows what she’s talking about, but it felt like a sales pitch to get me there then tell me. Other reviews say Botox. Maybe it wasn’t? If I could give 0 stars I would. Rudest woman I’ve encountered in Hawaii. Come to find out that it was the Dr. Carolyn Candido herself! I went in to ask about how lip filler works and whether or not you can get half a syringe instead of a full one. Had no problem with purchasing a full syringe after finding out it’s not possible to sell only half.. makes sense, it’s for sanitary reasons! Carolyn the injector was extremely rude about it, didn’t acknowledge me when I walked in, and explained it to me like I was scum of the earth! Wowza. Would’ve purchased and done the filler with them instantly if she wasn’t such a horribly rude person. Not about the price it’s about understanding the science behind the what I’m getting myself into! I walked out and said I will look into it elsewhere, but thank you, and she said “good luck finding it cheaper!” Again, not about the price at all, it’s about understanding, as a client, how this works! Ohana Med Spa is my new go-to for Xeomin treatment. I’ve been to competitors within the market and while my experiences were pleasant, no others offered Xeomin. Additionally, now that I am able to compare, I will be going to Ohana Med Spa from now on.

Apart from having a clean, intimate and welcoming facility with ample parking, Dr. Carolyn is very professional and knowledgeable.

She is direct, which to some, may be misinterpreted as cold. Honestly though, I’ll take her professional expertise and honesty over an injector with less experience who may be a bit bubblier in their personality. Dr. Carolyn is also not the pushy type to overly attempt to upsell and ‘push’ product + her pre and post-appointment communication/follow-up team are stellar, (thank you)!!
