I was fortunate to have the unique perspective of being both a former employee and patient of Dr. Chung. As a RN with 10 + years in the medical field who worked alongside different physicians, I can confidently say that Dr. Chung is one of the best in the field.

As a former employee, I witnessed firsthand the dedication and professionalism Dr. Chung, Hannah (office manager) and office staff bring to this practice. Their commitment to patient care is exceptional and evident in how they prioritize the needs of their patients above all else. The office itself is clean, organized and utilizes proper sterilization procedures essential for infection control and patient safety in any medical practice.

As a patient, my experience was equally impressive. Dr. Chung is highly skilled when it comes to varicose/spider veins/ cosmetic injectables/ and lasers treatments. Dr. Chung listened to my concerns, provided thorough explanations ensuring I felt comfortable with my treatment plan. Often times checking on me throughout my treatments to ensure that I was comfortable.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Chung at the Vein & Skin Center of Hawaii to anyone seeking high quality, affordable medical care some that are covered under insurance plans. The combination of competency and patient satisfaction makes this clinic a true gem. I feel valued as a former employee and as a patient which is a testament to his character and expertise.

Here is an update after my first review. My fiance, Brice had the opportunity to try the MiraDry treatment to address his underarm sweat. Dr. Chung, Hannah, and the office team were once again very professional and knowledgeable. They explained the treatment and recovery process along with a timeline on when to see results. They also scheduled a follow up visit to ensure his recovery and to just make sure he was doing well. Brice is looking forward to seeing the full results and once again doctor, Hannah, and the team were all very helpful and kind!

I first met Dr. Chung back in 2018 to have sclerotherapy to treat my spider veins. Dr. Chung, Hannah, and the office staff were very professional, compassionate, and answered all my questions about the treatment and after care! With such exceptional service, I decided to consult with Dr. Chung for additional treatments for facial enhancements with botox and fillers. Once again, Dr. Chung, Hannah, and the office staff were so helpful in explaining the process! Dr. Chung listens to your needs and concerns and he is honest with what would work best for the patient. I am so glad to have found their practice and will continue to go to them for years to come!

I did Miradry here in January 2021, I sweat a lot even without leaving home and using antiperspirant so I figured it was worth trying. The doctor told me it works really well for that, and that I would likely only see sweating from rigorous activity or very warm days. That was the case in the beginning, but after about a month I was almost back to pre-procedure levels of sweating unless I used antiperspirant. I referred someone who was mostly concerned about odor, they paid full price for their procedure too (don’t believe their “discounts”, we both got told we were getting an amazing temporary offer but it was the same for both of us). After my 3 month check in, the doctor basically said there’s nothing he can do if I sweat a lot before besides another treatment that will hopefully work, and that he could offer 20% off. Horrible deal for me. We saw the setting they used and it was definitely on the low end, If you sweat a lot don’t bother. He won’t solve your issues, and is hoping you’ll come back. Wasted my time coming in for him to basically tell me he’s not surprised it didn’t work and offer me 20% off to do it...
