Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try their homemade bread!!!! “Liliha Bakery is a full-service bakery and coffee shop that has built a loyal following since opening its doors in 1950. Since day one, Liliha’s commitment to baking fresh cakes and pastries with local ingredients has been of utmost priority. Experienced bakers who have been with the bakery for up to 40 years, honor the same traditional baking methods- making sure that all baked goods are made from scratch. Liliha Bakery began its expansion in 2014, opening a second location on Nimitz Highway, then the third location at the Ala Moana Shopping Center Macy's (March 2019), and then at International Market Place in Waikiki (November 2021). Soon after its 72nd anniversary, the first Central Oʻahu location opened in August 2022 making it the fifth and final installment of the local business. Aside from iconic pastries and local dishes, celebration is a big part of the Liliha Bakery's mission. Custom-designed cakes are offered at the original Kuakini and Pearl City location, using airbrushing techniques for cake decorations. At Liliha Bakery, the smell of fresh chantilly permeates throughout the store, counter seating provides customers with a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of famous local dishes, and customers are offered a selection of more than 150 baked goods. Some things never change… and at Liliha Bakery, and that’s a good thing!”

We visited this restaurant after my daughter's doctor’s appointment, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The self-check-in process was straightforward, and we were seated quickly. After just a minute, we were invited to place our orders. I chose the steak cooked medium rare, and it arrived in about 15 minutes. It looked appetizing, but unfortunately, it was cooked well done. The waitress checked on us, and when I mentioned the issue, she sincerely apologized and offered to replace it. I declined, as we were trying to beat traffic back home. However, the strawberry lemonade was fantastic, and the mixed greens were delicious. I managed to finish everything on my plate except for more than half of the steak since I prefer it less cooked. When I asked for the bill, the waitress took my plate back to the kitchen and returned with a discount, which I really appreciated—only paying half for the meal. Overall, I would give this place 4 stars because they took responsibility for the mistake and made an effort to improve our experience. We will definitely return! My only suggestion would be for the staff to bring a bit more energy, smile and friendliness to the table.

Filling the space on Macy's 3rd floor where Alan Wong's Pineapple Room used to be, Liliha Bakery's 3rd location has large shoes (and space) to fill. They've done a great job remodelling the place though so that's a great start. On this visit to this location, I was in the mood for eggs/breakfast so I opted for the Mahi Mahi & Eggs dish, which i usually enjoy from Koa Pancake House. Not sure how it compares to their other two locations, but the $16.50 price tag seemed a little steep to me for what I got. The Mahi Mahi was a good sized serving (two large pieces) but rather meh. The potatoes were quite flavorful but only gave 4 pieces. Eggs were eggs. Hard to ruin that. The bright spot was their famous butter rolls with nuclear jelly. Quite addicting as always. They were also woahfully understaffed though. I felt bad for the server. Our meals came out in a fairly timely fashion, but the water refill (just once) came few and far between (for everyone in our area). Not their fault, just not enough servers for the amount of tables. Overall, it was a decent meal but nothing spectacular and fairly overpriced. I'd much rather go to their original location (opened on Kuakini Street in Liliha in 1950) over this location as well as their Nimitz Highway location (opened in 2014) as much for the nostalgia as well as the quality of the food. It tastes best here for whatever reason.

Crooks running this restaurant - pay attention to your bill. Went there for dinner on Friday with another family. We ended up splitting the bill in half. When the bill came, it came with suggested amounts of tip according to different commonly used percentages (e.g. 18%, 20%... etc.). I was talking to my friend when I wrote down the amount of tip and didn't realize the restaurant did not break the tip in half. So, for my half of the bill ($52.93), the suggested tip on the bill was listed as about $18 for 18% tip (the bill before splitting was about $100). I realized the error after I went home. I happened to be in Ala Moana the next day so I went to the restaurant to reflect my experience. The manager on duty (a short lady) came to me and offered to take the entire tip off although I said I would like to pay the waitress the proper amount of tip. She said it's ok and she would take the entire tip off my bill. OK. Then I thanked her and walked away. Well, nothing happened. No correction was made to the final amount and I ended up paying almost 40% tip. No apology given. The manager on duty simply brushed me aside. Lesson learned. Never to visit again. There are other restaurants that do honest business.

Best breakfast we've had in a while!! We had the pork belly breakfast plate with fried rice and side of gravy (for a Loco moco effect) and the ultimate French toast with nuts and berries and guava ice teas! My husband and I always do a sweet dish and savory dish and then share. The pork belly was so ono! Smoked flavor, perfectly seasoned, perfectly meaty, mixed with the fried rice and over medium eggs with the gravy?! Omg I will be dreaming about that meal! Then the French toast was one of the best Eva! Their whipped cream you could tell was made in house, best whipped cream I've ever had! No joke! The berries were very fresh. Even the butter seemed house made and extra creamy and spreadable. Oh yes and Guava ice tea would definitely recommend! Our girls had the banana pancakes and a side of scrambled eggs with the fresh made OJ. I didn't try any of their stuff but know they enjoyed it all. Wish we only got one Pancake instead of short stack. They were nice and big so our 8 year old could only eat about half of it and was stuffed! She normally can eat a decent amount too.

This was my first time dining in at any Liliha Bakery, and I had an okay experience. First, I think it would be nice if the greeter smiled. She wasn't rude, but I think being greeted by a happy and smiling person would give better first impressions of a place. I had the Kim Chee Fried Rice plate with bacon. I asked for the bacon to be crispy, and it came out a little bit too well-done (i.e., it had a little burnt flavor). However, I did ask for it to be crispy, so I couldn't complain. :-) The grapes were pretty, but sour. Everything else tasted good. What I really liked was getting my own pot of coffee. Also, the person that waited on me was very friendly and did a great job. While eating, the alarm went off, and continued for minutes. I could see a lot of customers looking around with some confusion. None of the Liliha Bakery staff said anything. I had to ask one of them if this was for real, and if we had to leave. The response was it was a "false alarm". It would have been nice if the staff made an announcement.
