I was very excited to try this place. And please understand that this review ONLY has the intention of helping VIA313 operations. I know full well that when you go to any restaurant that is open in its first 30 days- you need to lower your bar and take the good with the bad. I’m a multi-unit restaurant operator myself, having just opened a new spot in the Woodlands the previous week. So anyways, here goes… Our server was very green- I don’t know if he’d ever taken an order before. My wife and I were sat down and given menus and they took our drink ( Diet Coke and water) and salad order. The salad arrived a few minutes later but no drinks. My wife even waved at one of the many front of the house people wandering around, but the guy didn’t even acknowledge her. At minute 11 or so, my wife went to the bar and asked for missing drinks. We had pretty much finished the salad with nothing to wash it down. The waiter then comes out with the missing drinks. So we would’ve waited nearly 15 for water and soda. The server had trainers working with him hip to hip, but they were weirdly correcting him in the moment as things were happening. That was awkward for him and us. So now we’ve finished the salad and we are ready to order pizza. We ordered the pizzas and then he says it will be about 20 to 25 minutes. Had we known that, or had they even asked we would’ve ordered the pizzas at the same time as the salad. In fact we intended to do so. So now we have this long wait time for the pizza. Even with trainers present they had their timing way off. Especially if they were trying to turn tables. You would think that they would be working more efficiently. The general manager came over and gave us a coupon for cinnamon sticks I guess because of the drink snafu. He was very cordial and we were appreciative. Now the good part: the pizza was EXCELLENT!! I absolutely loved the melted cheddar on the crust, giving it a real crisp and crunchy texture. The dough was and soft and bready and the cheese and sauce tasted great. They serve a really excellent product. I can’t wait to try it again. After we had eaten our fill of pizza another manager came over with a fresh plate of cinnamon sticks for no reason at all. But we were stuffed and asked for them to go. ( see- timing was just off) We tried one before we left- they were insanely good. Cinnamon rolls, sticks, etc are not even my thing. I would advise that if you have a server that is that new, and possibly has never served before- have them shadow the trainers and see a few repetitions before sending them out there to do the task. Correcting them in the moment just was not a good look. Will we be back? Absolutely the food definitely was the star of the show and we know and expect that the service will get better. As a side note I was charged for 3 diet cokes when we only ordered one? Are...
Read moreStopped in for a late lunch pickup order. My coworker was already a fan having previously eaten at the food truck in Austin and the other Houston location. I knew what I was in for, a Detroit style pie, but I was not prepared for what awaited.
While waiting for our order I snapped a few photos of the interior and after exchanging pleasantries with the bartender, we had our pie in hand and we were outta there! The weight of the box and the sharp smell while in the car was a great first sign.
It was a quick jaunt back to the studio and before I could let my camera have the first bite of this pie in all it's glory, my coworker had served his slices and I had no choice but to quickly follow suit.
I stacked a healthy chunk of The Detroiter on my plate and just knew everything was right. The wall of flavor that hit me after my first bite was all I needed to know, the rest of that slice was not going to last.
From the soft but crunchy dough, cooked edges, perfectly elasticized cheese and the cupped pepperonis, I was impressed, satiated and am ready to go back and dine in. Hands down the best Detroit style I've had so far and I know I have a couple more to try in town. I hope they can live up or even come close to the...
Read moreI have been a patron of this establishment in the past and have always enjoyed your pizza, which is consistently flavorful and satisfying. However, my recent experience using their app has left much to be desired, to the point where I wish I could take back my last visit.
One of the most significant drawbacks of the app is the absence of menu prices, which complicates the decision-making process for potential customers. Without this essential information, navigating the menu becomes a frustrating task. I found myself spending a good 15 minutes trying to locate the items I was interested in, ultimately leading to a sense of annoyance and inefficiency.
In an age where convenience is paramount, I expected a more user-friendly experience. Unfortunately, the app fell short in this regard, detracting from my overall impression of the establishment. I hope the management takes note of these issues and considers improvements to enhance the customer experience...
