This is a real detailed review of all aspects of the company and show room. Skip around if needed.
Showroom: Gorgeous! A great place to see furniture in person and get some design ideas. They carry most of the high end brands and cataloged peices. No one bothers you while shopping and you will come to see why in the next section. The store is located downtown and their parking lot is secure but good luck finding a spot. I will be back to look at some peices.
Ordering: Needs work. It took a while to find someone to help me. All of a sudden I was being helped by 5 different people to place one order. It was odd but we were helped. I called in once to edit my order and a I thought it went smoothly... emphasis on "thought".
Delivery: with COVID the furniture market is having difficulties making furniture quickly. Then shipping takes even longer. It took 3-4 months to receive our order. The gentlemen were quick with delivery and set up, But here is where the trouble comes in... They removed all the items from the box original box before knocking on the door. This voids returning the item and doesn't give the customer a chance to check the items before delivery. My advice is not to sign the delivery sheet until you have insisted everything! If unsatisfied, Deny the delivery. There is also no store warranty available to cover your items past the manufactures warranty. (Assuming thet the manufacturer has one). Update : they now offer an extened waranty
Customer Service: We received the wrong items after 4 months of waiting. (Editing my order was a mistake). I reached out to the shipment department they got back to me in 24 hours. I didn't sign the delivery slip so that helped. They were kind enough to reorder my items at no cost and no additional delivery fees. They will take another 2 months to be delivered. They let me keep the incorrect items until mine are delivered. Pretty decent customer service except, they requested pictures for proof. Not horrible.
Company: Prices are a bit high but fair. They should work on getting a warranty vendor to cover accidental damages and improve their return/ cancelation policy. Even RTG warrants their furniture and its affordable enough to buy twice! They should get a warehouse for popular items and consider selling floor items to reduce...
Read moreI purchased a $24 candle and it would not stay lit. I tried to exchange it about 45 days later for another one but they no longer carried the brand. I have purchased this brand and candle for years from HFH, so I know this was just a one time defect. They refused to give me a store credit even when I said I would purchase a more expensive candle and pay the difference. I didn't have my receipt but the candle still had the High Fashion Home sticker/barcode/price on the bottom. Obviously I purchased it from them and I am clearly not a thug that stole it. I spend over 5k there personally annually. I asked the manager if he really wanted to loose my business over $24 and he said "Yes" boastfully. He was clearly very upset he had to get up from his little tiny office to speak with me after he told his nice cashier to blow me off. What I didn't tell him was I work for a high end designer as a buyer and he lost a lot more than just my personal business. So if you are a regular customer, they are not willing to give you a credit for $24! They just lost my business to Kuhl Linscomb which wouldn't even blink twice exchanging a product that was defective. Bottom line, they sell you something they aren't willing to stand behind and this was just a candle! I wouldn't spend my money here even though the sales team and staff are very helpful in textiles and furniture. The manager clearly can't see the forest through the trees and needs to go educate himself on customer satisfaction risk verses losses with potential profit for returns on items under $50. I can write the formula for him if he doesn't understand, but the calculus might be...
Read moreRead moreJust left the Houston store, am a huge fan of fashionable furniture and got stuff from all over the world in the glam style, different shops and they all were more polite and served customers decently. I got an emerald green vase that i was in love with from high fashion home. Was on the table and I heard a sound looked at it and it was cracked from The inside (it’s a colored glass type that looks like it’s two layered and the inner one broke) was totally intact from the outside confirming that it didnt fall. Took it the store today with the mentality that am okay buying another just wanted to make sure that didn’t happen with other vases and to of course try to exchange it first. The manager was so rude and the first words came from his mouth were that “you cannot walk into the store saying that happened and expect to get another, I cannot guarantee this is actually what happened “!!. Didnt even smile to me and dealt with me as if am a thief!!! Saying that they never exchange vases after the leave the store (something i wasnt told). Very disappointing and devastating!!!! I couldnt even stay in the store for another second and i will never visit it again!! It’s an 80$ vase and he was that rude!!! With Zgallerie i got two mirrors 500$ each and they arrived broken a little from the outside ... took them to the store and they gave me another 2 and even kept the old ones with me!!! Although in that case the doubt of them had fallen was much much greater than what happened with the high fashion home little vase...and this is exactly the difference between...
