Trinity Episcopal Church — Attraction in Houston

I didn’t end up attending this church because the security guard (B. Lakes) made our family feel extremely uncomfortable, because he came up yelling that the parking lot was for church congregation only. He didn’t even ask us if we had planned on attending the Saturday night Easter service, probably because we were in jeans. He was so mean and scared my little sister. I told him I was going to the church because I wanted to see it (it’s an absolutely beautiful church) he said that the service didn’t start until 8pm (it was 730 at this time). When we walked into the church the security guard literally followed us inside and asked us “what do you think you’re doing?” And I said that I wanted to check the church out and the sign said “come on in!”. He said he would be calling the towing company, and that it’s my car if I want to risk it. I told him I had paid the $6 fee and was going to be attending the church service, to please leave us alone or get a church administer involved. Luckily a minister came out and was super kind and welcoming, and he allowed us to park. We left about 30 minutes later after looking around. I wish we had felt comfortable enough to stay. I would like the security guard to be trained in common courtesy, especially because he represents the church and in the end, represents Jesus Christ. Even if he isn’t a church goer he is the first person people meet before they walk through your doors. Church can be pretty overwhelming to attend and it would be nice if people were more kind...

Very old disrespect security that think he controls everything and can do and tell you whatever he wants.Talk to people unprofessional and too old to be a security anyway. Hopefully somebody might or might not do him something for how he disrespect people even if they trying to visit the church as a guest he talks to them stupid Very Rude Old Man I pray they upgrade because this is not something I would expect froma church that suppose to have history and especially a CHURCH WHERE EVERYONE IS SUPPOSED TO BE WELCOMED AND TREATED WITH RESPECT....Please Don't Attend This Church Until they find a better security...

These people do not feed the homeless at all. I had came here yesterday at @5:30pm for a meal as being told so from other churches and soup kitchen recommendations. Nobody showed up, it was 30 people outside that had to leave the area starving. that's sad how weak these people are towards us homeless folks, if y'all don't feed anyone anymore just say that and don't waste people time.
