I wasn’t planning on writing a bad review but considering how this place handled my situation I thought it was necessary to share my experience with “5” Star Furniture. I had ordered a vanity set for my fiancé a couple of weeks ago for her Christmas present. On the day it was delivered and being assembled I noticed that it wasn’t the vanity I had initially ordered, I reached back out to the store and they apologized for the inconvenience and informed me that I would receive the correct vanity set later that evening or that weekend. I never got a call back on when it was going to be delivered so I went ahead and followed up to which I was told that the vanity set I ordered came in damaged and that they were going to take initiative to get it fixed on their end and we’re going try to get it in to me the latest, two days after. I understand that delays may happen so that’s not what I had an issue with but the fact that I basically had to reach out to them myself to follow up without them giving me updates unless I called them seemed a bit unprofessional on their end.
My fiancé left a bad review a few days ago giving some insight on the experience we have been having so far with them and not long after, I got a call from on of the employees who felt the need to ask me (rudely) to have my fiancé remove her review because they felt like they have been doing everything they can to fix their mistake and that they have been having really good communication skills with me. Even though I had to do most of the following up myself. The fact that she felt the need to ask me to do this was so disrespectful, I was very patient will all the mistakes that were made on their end because I also work for a sales company and I get that mistakes may happen but the fact that they’re going to give me a call and basically ask me to have my fiancé remove a her review just because they felt they did “everything” they could to meet my needs and do me the favor, is so unprofessional and rude that I do NOT recommend anyone doing business with them. The other bad reviews on here are relevant to my experience and I do agree, stay away from here, there are other furniture stores you can do business with who will provide a better customer service experience for you. Had I known that this is what I was going to experience – the lack of professionalism, no organization and horrible customer service, I would have never done business with them...
Read more5 Star Furniture on 9900 Gulf Freeway has the worst customer service when it comes to furniture delivery. The delivery guys have no professional experience or training and the 2 men who delivered my furniture were extremely rude. I asked them to park delivery truck in back and enter through my garage but one of them, Bruce I think his name, told me NO which caused their truck to block the throughway for my neighbors to get in and out. And this same movers threw a paper cup on my ground as he and his partner sat on back of truck smoking cigarettes because they couldn't figure out how to get the dresser up my stairs. After I threatened to cancel my furniture order because a bedroom Set without a dresser is not a bedroom Set, the movers removed the handrail on the stairs and forced the dresser up the stairs which caused all the damages to my walls as shown in the pictures that are attached here. I had just moved into my new TH just 10 days prior to this delivery so the walls were freshly painted without a single scratch on them prior to 5 Star Furniture's delivery nightmare. I have called several times and spoken to Sam and was referred to this locations manager Ramsay who refuses to take my calls and has not bothered to return any of my phone calls. 5 Star Furniture at 9900 Gulf Freeway is TERRIBLE and they don't deserve your business or your money because they don't care about their customers at all. They are irresponsible and lack integrity and good customer service is not something they care...
Read moreTerrible 😤 please do not ignore the comments that repeatedly state LACK of communication and customer service. A vanity set was purchased and they stated it would arrive in 3 weeks which it did not. When it did, only to come and see while it was being set up that it was the wrong one. We attempted to contact the location because of this error which they did not answer and instead they spoke to the delivery men who let us know what would happen. They stated they would bring the right one later that evening or the following day. Furniture was never delivered later that day, never received a follow up call to apologize for wasting a whole Saturday waiting on a call. WE follow up the next day and they state that some of the drawer mirrors were broken and needed to be fixed.They then stated they would call 12/30 to sched. A drop off.. of course no phone call until my Fiancé called again after 5pm to which they stated it was fixed but won’t be delivered until possibly the next business day. This is ridiculous.. we understand orders mess up, hiccups here and there but the lack of customer service and the fact that the customer has to be the one checking in constantly is not worth making business with these people.. you can easily find the same product elsewhere unfortunately we made a wrong choice choosing them but it will be the last. FYI After they saw this review they decided to gift a rug which came out to be a barely almost 3-4ft long that definitely will...
