Tacos El Primo Guero (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

Very disappointed with the customer service of this place. They were hired to cater my best friends baby reveal at 6 pm. After calling multiple times and asking where they were, the owner finally answered and proceeded to tell us “I didn’t write your event down on my calendar but we are on our way” at 6:45 pm. Of course a little attitude was given because they were late, and the owner proceeds to tell me “well I won’t go if you don’t need me, I can just go back because I have another event” like seriously? After a deposit has been given? His wife had sent us a form with the date&time of the event and signature, which secured our date.. so how responsible to “not know” you had an event. We had all of the guests waiting for over an hour and a half until they finally showed up. By the time they set up, and started cooking, they ended up serving starting at 8 pm. Food was 4/10 probably because of how rushed they were since they were late. No discount for the inconvenience, no apologies. INSTEAD, they made us pay up front before they began cooking. I do not recommend this place. Food was ok, tortillas had a strong flavor of something odd. They also didn’t even come fully prepared. They had to use one of our tables that was our dessert table for the event to put their salsa’s, cilantro and other condiments. Customer service and communication sucked. We were all extremely disappointed and will not be booking...

I ordered tacos for which I was told cost $7 for 5 tacos, 1 quesadillas, 2 sodas and 2 sour cream. My order came to $26 which i did not think about until I got back to my hotel and thought about it but by then it was too late. I understand the language barrier as I do not speak spanish however math is universal. I am not sure if this was just a simple error or something more sinister. With regard to the food.. tacos are teeny tiny with flavorless dry meat. They give you a sack of cilantro and onions and an aluminum pouch of lettuce and tomatoes. Did I mention the little cup of watery bean soup that didnt taste like anything and appeared to have cut up hotdogs in it. Needless to say the sour cream I was told would cost extra was not in the bag either. Will definitely not be going back as I'm sure there are trucks with better tasting food that can accurately add...

I didn't have enough cash under the assumption they accept CC. This was discussed before they took my order and he was kind enough to give me a full order although I was short 1 dollar or so. Although he was very kind and generous I still feel obligated to give a sincere review on the food. The beans had a decent flavor but they were undercooked (maybe I showed up a bit too early [it was still daytime]). And I'm all about a tasty salsa, the green was good but the red was, in my opinion, lacking in flavor all around. I hope my review doesn't sway how you treat future customers.
