I was Direct Admitted by a Cardiologist. I have serious heart issues as well as numerous other Comorbities. Iām in 2017 of Walter Tower at Methodist Hospital in the Med center. Tonight when attempting to eat dinner I began choking, vomiting and pulling mucus with a strong viscosity out of my throat. Immediately I pressed the emergency call button and kept pushing it. No one came to help. Iām 73 with no living family so I am here alone. I have insurance. When someone did finally come a half an hour later they said they were in report and that took precedence over a patient choking to death . By the Grace of God Iām still alive to write this. They showed no concern for my welfare. Earlier in the day I asked for help to get a shower but no one would assist. Medications are not being given . Tests ordered are not being preformed. Never come here unless you are fortunate enough to have a family member with you. They practice systematic ageism. I even fall under The Americanās with Disability Act. I am being neglected. I want to go home but have no way as I live in Liberty - 53 miles away. They will not help. I was told I would be put on Fannin Street . They did acknowledge that I have been curtereous and polite at all times. If I have to die and suffer I would rather do it at home. I almost passed away in a World Class Hospital tonight through no fault of my own. It was solely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to see one of the vascular surgeons recently, relative to technical errors that were made during vascular surgery at Chi St. Luke's Baylor. I had my CT scan that they downloaded. He (the Doctor) recommended open thrombectomy on my right and left femoral arteries, followed by patching. I got a second opinion from a vascular surgeon at UT because the CT scan did not reflect serious blockage in right leg. The vascular surgeon said there was no reason at all for surgery on my right femoral artery. He (Dr. .......) very clearly tried to schedule me for a risky and completely unnecessary surgery. I am truly astonished at such a bold move that clearly would be malpractice. I urge anyone looking at getting vascular surgery to be very cautious, and understand the risks. At Chi St. Luke's Baylor I had an carotid endartectomy that had a serious technical error, resulting in a completely thrombosed left carotid system. There is no fix, and I am lucky that I am alive and not paralyzed yet. Additionally, they stented my aorta and a large thrombus broke apart, and resulted in major complications with my left femoral artery. I will be contacting the administrator of the vascular surgery department to ensure that they are aware of...

My echo cardiogram showed i need to have my aortic valve replaced before getting my kidney replaced. The valve is severely damaged. I saw a cardiologist at methodist scheduled me to have a cardiac ct scan with contrast. So I scheduled that appointment 2 weeks ago. Well I received a text message from billing that I needed to call them. I called and they said they haven't received authorization and they needed to reschedule my appointment. I told her they shouldn't have waited to send in the authorization last minute. So I asked for a supervisor. She.said it wasn't sent.in last minute. Well my insurance says the request was sent in on September 17th. Last minute. I've had this appointment for almost 2 weeks. Someone didn't do their job right. Im not happy about any of this. I had to re arrange my schedule and now I can't get in till September 30. Yall need to do better. My heart valve is severe I don't have time to play around. With symptoms time is not on my side. Negligence and procrastination...
