Poke In The Bowl — Restaurant in Houston

Food is great and fresh. We were regular and came here pretty often.

Until one time, one of the servers was extremely rude to me. I placed a pickup order using UBEREAT and I came to pickup my order at the time it showed that food is ready at the app. For some reason, it showed that the pickup time was 40 minutes later on their end. I asked him nicely if he could get my order ready and even showed him that on my phone it showed that the order was supposed to be ready by now.

He was very upset with me and intentionally made my regular order super small. Being a regular customer, I knew that this was not their standard portion. Although it sounds more like a UBEREAT issue, taking it out on your customers is not right. This place is like chipotle, it’s not like you’ll have to communicate with the kitchen to prep the meal. We like Poke In The Bowl, but we will never come back to this...

I order from Poke in the bowl 2-3 times a week thru uber eats. One night my spicy mayo sauce was not included in my order. It was about 15 min before closing. I called to ask them if they would be ok with opening the door for me after closing. Once the staff member realized it was me he promptly offered to deliver it to my home on his way home. I told him it wasn’t necessary and he insisted. It was above and beyond and greatly appreciated. The team members name was Dat. It was a moment of exceptional customer service that should be commended. I am happy to support this restaurant and recommend them regularly. The food is good and I usually have special requests on my orders. And they are always quite attentive to my requests and ALWAYS notice when I make minor changes to my special...

VALUE TO PRICE NOT GOOD...

Although the staff is very amicable and the food is fresh and clean, there seems to be a very strict and square thinking about portion size, PROTEIN portions are ultra small scoops, and everything is measured to the extreme, even the SALAD BASE or CHEAP BROWN RICE and other cheap vegetables are very RIGID about the amount they serve, I would not go again to this place unless experiencing extreme cravings, I think they need to first create a customer base and then think about being a real CHEAPO on the serving sizes... I have gone to this place about 5 times and always have this feeling that Im not getting a good portion...on the veggies... but as I said everything else is good... the VALUE to PRICE is what I didn't like.
