Here for the birth of my child and it was in walking distance. I always judge a BBQ place by their 2 meat plate. The BBQ overall was average at best.
The brisket wasn’t cooked low and slow, you could tell it’s a faster process because it was tough and a bit dry. Although I like that they kept majority of the fat on it. That was its saving Grace.
I could see how it would be good enough quality to eat on a BBQ sandwich and BBQ baked potato but not a two meat plate as a main course.
Normally I do Brisket and dark meat BBQ chicken leg quarters, but actual BBQ chicken wasn’t an option. They only carried a boneless skinless chicken breast as an option.
The Ribs were seasoned well, but they were extremely dry.
The braised Greens were some of the best I’ve ever had.
The macaroni was excellent as well.
The staff was great.
Pricing, not so much. Probably paying 30-40% more because it’s one of the only BBQ joints within walking distance from multiple hospitals.
They up-charge for brisket as an option on the two meat plate which I’ve never seen at any BBQ establishment before this.
2 meat plate was worth 10-12 bucks in my opinion, but paid 21.95 after tax and brisket up-charge.
My advice would be to opt for the BBQ sandwich or BBQ baked potato if you have an itch for BBQ and it’s your...

We ordered 1 1/2 lbs of brisket (Moist) hence the fat Sliced Turkey sandwich Chopped Beef sandwich Mac and Cheese And Banana Pudding. I have nothing negative to say about any of it.
The brisket was moist and pull apart, smoked perfectly and does not need BBQ sauce.
The sliced turkey was so tender and moist we ended up ditching the bun and eating the sliced turkey. (As pictured the tiny bits of turkey were from trying to fork pieces to family members to try)
The Chopped beef sandwich was delicious and is generally a staple when I try any BBQ place. I relate it to cheese pizza, if your at a pizza place and they can’t deliver on a slice of cheese pizza then the rest probably won’t be right.
I immediately took my sandwich apart to make sure it was all brisket (you would be surprised what I’ve found) it was all coarsely chopped brisket that’s sauced up just perfectly. The sauce to brisket ratio was perfect you could still taste the brisket and had just a hint of sauce.
This place has done things right, and you can tell.
Excellent food guys! Thanks for the help and the...
Read moreFirst of all the portions they give you for the price you're paying is outrages.for a second i thought the food must be very good if your'e only getting small portions as if they were running out of food.the brisket they served me had nothing but fat on it.the pork ribs were trimmed to damn near bone .i guess the use the rest for the pulled pork sandwiches because the were dry.chicken had some decent flavor but again i think i got maybe half a chicken breast and sausage was also very dry. The green beans were to salty i couldnt even eat them.potatoe salad was bland cornbread was hard as a rock i think i chipped a tooth biting into it.The beans and rice and mac and cheese were the only thing on my plate halfway decent.Fifth ward barbeque is cheaper but have better quality food.not only will i never come here and throw my hard earned money again but i wouldn't even recommend anyone to come and spend their hard...
